Yankee fans expecting a big blowup over this are going to be disappointed. I think we always sort of had a hunch that he might have done steroids or HGH or something during his peak years of 2003-2007.

There are only two members of the 2004 team who would kill me if they ever tested positive. One is Pedro. The other is Schilling. Everyone else, you just shrug your shoulders and say that's the era it was.

I would be absolutely shocked if Schilling showed up on the list. It would be like finding out that John Kruk was using.

Didn't Manny state that he had passed all his prior drug tests? So' date=' now he is a liar too.[/quote']

He said past 5 seasons, that would be back to 2004.

That quote is fine. He was talking about now that there is testing, not 2003 - not that he would have told the truth if asked about 2003... just saying.

But I'm not surprised. I think steroid use was even more than the 104 that got busted. I bet you could take the top 100 players for each year from 1990 to now and find they are using some sort of PED. To not suspect someone is foolish. The real problem is why do we care?

Release all the rest of the names. Pedro, Nomar, Jeter, Posada, all of them. The best of the best during those years all used PEDs. The smart ones like Schilling and Jeter didn't and will never get caught. The dummys got busted. Release the names already.

Same here.

And for HeHateMe, did Arod take himself out?

Whatever side your on there is this. In 2003 they weren't breaking any Baseball rules I believe. I believe they were breaking some federal law or something. But they weren't killing people of Dogs or whatever. They took something to get stronger(whatever it does) thats it.

To me this is little more then getting busted with weed. I don't worry about the "on the field" results being skewed or whatever. And if your not worried about that, then all this steroid crap doesn't seem so big.

I wish ARod had taken himself out of his entire contract which steroids helped him achieve. If you wanna pile on him, I'll be more than glad to help. :D

There has been no incidation whatsoever or any suspicion I have ever heard that Pedro Martinez used steroids.

Both guys have been in steroid rumors. Wouldn't surpise me at all if both were on something.

I'm shocked, but at the same time I'm not. I wouldn't have been surprised if someone had told me Ortiz was juicing, it's more that I just didn't want to hear it. Very dark day in Red Sox Nation...

I have my suspicions about Bernie's partial comeback in '06 for that matter.

I have my suspicions on ALL Scott Boras clients. They're the ultimate mercenaries whose sole purpose in playing baseball is to make money (and yes I know I'm using hyperbole, sue me). If steroids can help them increase their salaries, why the hell wouldn't Boras be on their ass everyday telling them to use it?

I would literally walk away from baseball forever if Schilling gets busted for steroid or HGH. The guy was the reason I came back in the first place after finally having enough of the futility of it all in the 90's.

It was against the rules, there just wasn't any specified punishment. I think in the rules it's pretty implied that if something is illegal in the federal government's eyes, it's illegal in the league's eyes.

I think there was a rule specifically stating that steroids were illegal anyway.

Like I said before, if being surprised from time to time that someone used steroids is the price to pay for believing in the best of ballplayers, so be it

Pedro was my favorite sox player but I would be surprised if he hadn't done steroids.

Ok. Like I said I wasn't sure.

I would bet Schilling is on there too. But I think he's had more suspicions about his Philly days. So maybe not.

I've stopped caring whether or not people used. It's the era - everyone is under some type of index of suspicion. I will say this about believing in the best of ballplayers, at least from where I stand. I don't believe that 100% of players used steroids. I do believe that about 85-90% used at SOME POINT throughout their careers. I will give everyone the benefit of the doubt until they are named in some type of list. And when they are named, I say "oh well, it's the era", and move on. I think it's easier that way to just accept steroids on a large scale as part of the game today.

And I knew the Yanks couldn't beat anyone fairly in the late '90s. I give you one rebut, and then I ban you for trolling.

Besides, someone as retarded as you shouldn't have access to the internet. If anything, it was fair, because A-Rod and Giambi were pretty big pieces of your team. f*** off. This is exhibit A of why the world hates most Yankee fans.

How's it feel knowing your two top pitchers from 98-00 were on the juice?

If you want to play the title re-possession game, I think we win.

Papi :( ....

I don't care what anyone says, it hurts. This is not the biggest selfish jerk in baseball(aka Manny) or A-hole, this is Big Papi- the happy-go-lucky fun-loving guy that even opponents love. Nobody hates Big Papi. But it's not so much that he took them but that he lied...hard(see that quote that someone posted already).

Someone will probably come in and tell me how retarded I am for not already knowing this or to wake up but I don't believe in this culture of acceptance. We've been lied to so many times that we've come to accept it. Whether one person pops the pills or 5000, I don't care, it's still wrong and should be frowned upon. I'm not going to go out and say it's fine to save face because I fear the 2004 team had a load of roiders or because I know there's more news to come. I'll condemn it every time. I don't buy into this crap of accepting it because if you accept it, you allow it. And if you allow it, the game will be filled with cheats forever. It probably doesn't bother too many people, but it bothers me. I'll never see Papi the same way I used to.

You don't have to like it to accept it. I accept it because there's nothing that I'm going to be able to do that will stop it from happening.

Baseball players are human beings, and whenever someone does something wrong, they try to save face. If Papi does the right thing and just admits it, owns it, and gives a heartfelt apology, I will forgive him. I hate to bust your balls, but science is always one step ahead, and players will just search for the new stuff that doesn't have a method of detection.

Baseball is entertainment man. Don't take it so personally. Are you mad when you go see a movie and it has an actor that got busted for coke or something? Are you never going to watch another movie they are part of? Nope you probably would just except it as" Hollywood" type behavior. And you move on. Except it for what it is.

You see... this is what we're talking about, dude. This isn't talking about it, this is trolling. I'm sure you were hoping for an emotional train wreck on here, but that's not the case.
