If you guys are so inclined, I haven't chimed in on yesterday or today's game UNTIL after they were over. Yesterday I went to the park to watch DipreG's cousin work. Today, I went shopping. However, I chimed in on both Yankee games, a win and a loss after I got back. So...sit and rotate.

 

On the note of the best bullpen..yes, you do have the best pen. There is no question about that. However, if they have to rescue Dice-K every five days, it will wear them down. Your bullpen is most effective when they are not in the game.

as it stands right now, the sox are 3 games up in the L column for the WC. The yankees are 1 game up in the L column on the sox. And the only serious team I think will stay in it is ANA, and they are also 3 back in the L column and 5 games back in the W column. I agree with Gom. This might be another season where the yankees and sox are on collision course for the ALCS

It looks that way. The Angels may get back in it but I don't think their record will match the Sox or Yanks'.

I just want to say that my comment, while sarcastic, was not said in anger. Just some light hearted ribbing. I am a newbie, I guess. You guys (Jacko and Gom) sling the barbs liberally and really get into calling people names at times. I wasn't aware that I had to earn the privilege of joining the fray.

 

Having said that, I see the Yanks and Sox in a heated battle for the Pennant. I give the Yankees a slight edge (based on both team's current composition, performance, and health) to end up in 1st place with the Sox 2nd and taking the wild card slot. But things change and there are about 100 games left.

 

Looks like it will be a fun summer.

This is a brutal stretch for the Sox: 1st place Tigers, 1st place Rangers, 1st place Yankees, 1st place Phillies. While this series sucked, we're still 4-2 so far in the stretch.
