I think we all saw the replay. It looked fair. Hey, do the Yankees ever get the benefit of a bad call?

The guy behind the plate has been horrible though...

you really can't tell from that camera angle. The ump was right on top of the play. He wasn't that far from Bay, and I am sure he got a good look at it. The Texas 3B coach didn't question it, so I'm sure the ump got it right.

It was clearly fair.

Woooo... Out at the plate! I want to see that again. How did they get him? Looked like he was going to beat it. Strong relay!

After seeing it again from over the C shoulder from the 1st base side, he was safe...

Can't blame the ump though because of how the player ran it. You couldn't tell unless you where on the 1B side instead of the 3B side.

Phantom tag' date=' lol (tbs anouncer)[/quote']

Everyone has an opinion. I think he tagged him. The question would be did the runner's hand touch the plate first? Nice throw by Green and a nice block by Tek.

They just showed it in Freeze Cam. Tag happened first. Out.

As nice as it was to see Ortiz get a hit in his 6th game, I don't see base stealing as his forte. Shoulda not tried.

The TBS replay made it look like he might be safe...but still hard to say for sure imo. Some calls are just too close.

That call should almost always go to the C because he blocked the plate and the ball was in time. That being said, it looks like he missed the tag intially and had to tag him further up his arm after he touched the plate.

Nesn froze it perfectly showing he was clearly out.
