Ahh envy.

Ya I totally envy a team that has the dumbest owner in baseball, just now managed to tie a team that's suffered with injuries and an extreme lack of production from key players, and not only built a trillion dollar ballpark and can't even sell the front row seats, but gave it the shittiest dimensions known to man.

The ball park is a really ridiculous band box. I don't know if there is anything they can do about it.

I wish I was the one suffering from watching opposing teams constantly hitting cheap fly balls out of there, along with the financial burden. I think I'll go slash my wrists now, because I'm so sad that I'll never get to be a delusional smear-artist assf*** like jacko or d'ohny.

Also' date=' you should know that with A-Cock back in the lineup, the Yankees offensive production has increased by .1 runs a game. Yeah, he truly was the missing link, Dr. Loomis.[/quote']

This is the only valid point made. It has not been the offense. It has been the pitching.

You all know why I think this is the case.

Both teams have dealt with injuries, both teams have to deal with crap. There are no excuses in baseball.

The Yankees are looking a little better right now because there are less question marks. That's all. Keep in mind, fans of both sides, that Smoltz can be a huge addition, RSN's version of the return of A-Rod.

However, anything can change this dynamic.

Looking at my team, if Girardi has the balls to play Molina/Cervelli, DH Posada, and use Matsui as the prime pinch-hitter, this team will be very tough to beat.

Plus, New York owns Boston. It's just too bad it's the Mets.

Not jealous at all. I love Mo and will take him over anyone still. By the time he hangs em up' date=' Paps might even be available by Free Agency.[/quote']

Spoken like a true Yankee fan.

thats the thing, though. The dimensions are actually pretty average around baseball. I dont know if it is just a small sample size or if there is some sort of wind current or something. I can tell you this, the yankee pen hasnt helped the homer concern.

Read.

They lowered the right field upper deck, and the current is jet-streaming towards right-field.

It's not just a cheap read, it's been confirmed by several sources.

It's also been confirmed by the increased home run production of sluggers such as Carlos Ruiz.

I did not know that

Really?

It's gotten more publicity than any of A-Rod's "road to stupidity and public hatred" stunts.

I knew they were hiring experts to confirm. I didnt hear that it was confirmed

Saw a report on it on ESPNLA the other day.

Apparently, the Yankees are well aware of the problem, but experts say as the weather gets warmer, the stream is gonna die and the stadium will stop being a launching pad.

This should only last until June apparently.

i laugh at the Sox fans getting so defensive here - the Yankees are trending upward and the Sox are sputtering.

Papelbon had this coming to him for weeks now - the writing was on the wall for sure to anyone who was willing to open their eyes.

I didn't see him run on the field, but it sounds just like him. I've said it multiple times but I hope he enjoys going year to year with those contracts.

Yup. He was a ticking time bomb.

He hasn't been throwing strikes consistently, which, of course, means you aren't going to get outs as efficiently. All hard throwers give up their share of home runs, but it was the walk to Gary Sheffield that really killed him. Without that, it's a tie game. :(
