Should have pinch run Lugo. If nothing else he may have blown-out his knee in a slide and we could be done with his Fail for the season.

At least the Jays lost again. But NY didn't...and Rays ahead.

Man I hate losing a close game. Have to go work out some energy.

Hell of a game. Great to see Papelbon getr what was coming to him from Omir Santos no less. Then he leaps out onto the field like the whiny **** that he is on a play that was clearly an out. I love seeing his name in the L column. Hope it happens more.

CMon, say em. It isnt like I havent heard them before. The thing that the sox need to worry about is the 10 game roadie coming up. With the yankees finding new life and tampa starting to rise towards being on the minds of everyone in the ALE, this roadie for the sox will be huge. Beckett was lights out tonight, albeit against a light Mets lineup devoid of Reyes, Schneider, Church and Delgado. It didnt matter who he was facing though, he was on. And tomorrow the sox face Tim Redding. The last time the Red Sox saw him, he was in Yankee colors and the sox won by 20.

You must be really jacked that your long May winning streak combined with our May futility has only gotten your team a tie in the standings.

Your just jealous of the intense stud. He reminds you of what the Yankees used to send to the mound in the 9th, but alas, those days are over.

(Remind him of last night's performance by the shrewd new acquisition AJ Burnett)

Hmm. Rivera and Paps have the same # of blown saves and he has a much lower WHIP. Seems like Rivera is, well, better right now.

Lets see.

Our best player didnt play a game until game 29. We have finished 43 games. To this point, ARod has missed 2/3 of our games

Posada has missed 18 of those 43 games, in his stead, a rookie who hadnt played over AA has been playing

Our ace over the last 3 seasons has been injured and really hasnt recovered to this point

Our bullpen aside from Mo has been a pile of s***.

Xavier Nady has played in only 8 of the 43 games we have played

And yes, now we have tied you. And the scary thing is, all of the guys above are expected to recover. Wang is the most questionable of the bunch since he doesnt have a true injury to rehab. And Bruney may be the only true casualty of the season. And we have tied you. Since ARod came back, this team has been amazing. 12-3. So yeah, I am excited.

How many homers has Rivera given up again?

Posted
How? I am comparing two good measures of reliever performance. Yes, Mariano has given up 5 homers, which is not like him. But his WHIP is much lower than Paps and he has only blown 1 save.

Not jealous at all. I love Mo and will take him over anyone still. By the time he hangs em up' date=' Paps might even be available by Free Agency.[/quote']I love Mo too. He has been part of some of the most thrilling victories in Red Sox history.

You stupid f***.

The Red Sox have gotten jack f***ing s*** from the front of their rotation, and very meager production from the back of it, nothing from their #3 hitter, have committed the 9th most errors in baseball, and are fielding the two most incompetent shortstops in the game, defensively (shortstop is a relatively important position on defense). Yet your all-star team of destiny just now managed to tie this team in the standings. Pretty impressive, huh Corky? Also, you should know that with A-Cock back in the lineup, the Yankees offensive production has increased by .1 runs a game. Yeah, he truly was the missing link, Dr. Loomis.
