RedSox reveal new road uniforms

Awesome jerseys are awesome. Figures that the year when we get new road s*** is the same year that we open the season at home for the first time in forever.

That's what I wanted to know when I 1st saw these. i thought they were an alternate road jersey. But from the few times I have played MLb the show on ps3' date=' these are the new jerseys, and the old road jerseys with the red letters are gone. I think they might wear the road jerseys with the red letters as the throw backs every now and then. But these new road jerseys they are bringing back from the 80's are the new uniforms for the road from now on.[/quote']

 

Haha, the day they start wearing last year's road jerseys as throwbacks is the day I start feeling old.

I like it. Keeps the classic look but still has a modern feel to it, at least there's no drastic change. Someone needs to tell that to the Angels, seems like they make a uniform adjustment every time Vlad chokes in the postseason (That makes at least 5 uniform changes in the last 5 years).

Ok, so 3 changes+ alternate throwback uni's all the time throughout the course of the season. A little hyperbole...but I remember a time when the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim were the California Angels- pardon the nostalgia, but the uniform/name change reflect the ideological transformation of the organization over the last decade.

If the Red Sox want to be held to the same level as the hated Yankees, they MUST keep their unis traditional. I hate to say it but you don't see New York running around in "alternative" uniforms.

I think that's the yankee way. That's good old mr. steinbrener for you. I'm no Yankee fan, but I think the dark blue colored jersey would be a nice look. Something a little different than the same old pinstripes.There's not much color in the yankees uniforms to do much with. Look at the mets. They have blue, black and orange to work with. They got pinstripes, and every now and then they go back to the original pinstripes with the big orange line on the side. Then they wear the black jerseys which are stupid to me. They should wear the spring training jerseys. The Blue ones with the black striped sleeves that they sell in the stores. Baseball uniforms are to boring in general. half the teams look the same.

 

Look at the Rays. They changed their uniform which looks nice, but they changed the color from grass green to that dark sue blue color. They look just like the Mariners. They should have kept the natural green color. The Diamondbacks changed their uniforms last year, and now they look just like the Nationals and the Angels. Some of the college baseball uniforms look better. They have more different colors. You don't see many teams in the mlb with burgundy or maroon, or purple. The pirates could wear a yellow jersey as their alternate uniform. Get more creative.
