  1. Relax, relax. The season just started and it's a looonnnng season.
  2. He did a fantastic job with the Tigers. A great baseball man.
  3. Here is a fine article on Feller. It quotes Johnny Pesky - http://www.cleveland.com/tribe/index.ssf/2010/12/feller_reax_121610.html
  4. This is a great site. Red Sox fans know and appreciate their history. The last great icon of baseball's "golden years" is now gone. You folks have more posts than the largest Guardians' site.
  5. Do you realize Feller won 25 in 1941 and 26 in his first full year back in 1945. Many baseball experts figured 100 more wins and 1000 Ks.
  6. I was named after Bob and am so proud to have been. I had the good fortune to see Bob pitch his 3rd no-hitter and and his 12th and last one-hitter. Bob not only was a great, great pitcher but a true American hero spending almost 4 years in the Navy in World War ll. This is a very sad day for me but I take great comfort that he is now with our Lord. God bless you, Bob Feller.
  7. No, no, no! Oh! For the good ole days!!
  8. The greatest Indian of them all. this is sad for me as I was named after him and saw his 3rd no-hitter and 12th one-hitter. He won 26 games before entering WW11 and 25 when he returned after four years in the Navy. It probably meant another 100 victories and 1000 strikeouts. A great man and ball player. May God bless Bob and his family!!
  9. I agree 100%! He's a bully with no guts. The Red Sox are basically a good bunch of guys (so it seems) but Beckett is a punk.
  10. Ya never know when your team is losing and have had a lot of injuries also.
  11. The Red Sox team and fans showed a lot of class tonight when Santana was being carted off.
