You must feel sorry for Bad Penny,he just isnt good enough. It was clear that the Yankees were going to hit him for everything. Thankfully we got it back last night.

I became a fan in 2004,so i suppose i was a good omen. Watched the Yankees choke that year. Been learning the rules since then,thanks to my good friends who are mostly Sox fans. Being from Scotland its alien to us here,but gradually since 2001 online i got into it. I will read up on the history for sure.

Been to the Rogers in Toronto twice now and watched hundreds of games live on the Computer and man will someone shoot the f***ing guy on the keyboard. Same crap every game and fans do nothing till they are told,which isnt much. So its good to hear at away games lets go Rex Sox,or hear that the atmosphere at Fenway is far far better than other grounds. Could football(soccer) type chants take off. Is it because its 2-4 hours long. What do people think.

Bad Penny more like,is this week a watershed for our season. Keep playing like that and we will just scrape into the play offs.

I support the same team mate,yes it sucks,but some people are trying to make it better. Aways games are beter by a mile.

18th july in Toronto. Went on holiday from Scotland early to catch this game and we got beat 6-2. Brad Penny wasa Bad Penny for sure. Players running into each other etc,it was a poor performance,after a good start. It was great to see thousands of other Sox fans at the game and i wore my shirt for the first time with pride. Thanks to my friend Angela from the red Sox nation for sending me my shirt over from the US. Atmosphere at BB games is crap at the best of times,but at least Sox fans try to up the anti in games. I am a football(soccer)fan,so im used to having a better atmosphere at games,but i wish it would be better,than fans waiting on some guy on a stupid organ giving them the cue,to shout or clap for 5 seconds,i know its a more laid back game,but it still could better. Funny thing was that other fans didnt say even hello each other,which i found strange,well we were getting beat,maybe it was that. I struggled with jetlag and nearly fell alseep a few times,one bit i laughed at was,Jays had one on first base,i looked up and the bases were loaded,i was like WTF,jetlag sucks.lol I still was so thrilled to see the Sox at last,spoke to a fan from New England in union station after the game. Everyone seemed on a downer,maybe we have come to realise,that we are struggling more than we are used to at this moment. It was my second game ever,last year i seen Toronto play the Braves at the Rogers centre. But i was excited all the way over the pond to see the Sox,getting beat was a let down,but it didnt take away from my experience and seeing so many fans at the game. Everywere you turned,you see Sox fans,even when the players did their minute or so warm up,the fans were giving it big licks to Papi and co,they were all excited. We were all built up on seeeing a good performance,but didnt get it,thats why everyone was on a downer i bet. Seeing Papi,Pedoria etc etc live was awesome. This is not a moan,but just my view on what happend. Overall it was great to see the Sox and so many fans,still worth travelling all the way to see them,like lots of fans do. Now for Fenway park the next time.

Good post,new stadiums here kill the game. They forget about the real fans and roll out the red capret for coperates,who dont go to all the games,dont back the team and are just there as some sort of status symbol. The real fans become customers and are treated badly My soccer team Glasgow Celtic,used to have one of the best atmosphere,but not now,fans who try to get it back,face an uphill struggle byt the new breed of fans. We do lots of singing,but now they tell us to be quiet,even when people shout when a chance goes by,its shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh,we are watching the game. I hope it doesnt happen the Red Sox,the owners must see that the coperates are the customers and the fans and the life blood.

Never been to Fenway,but going by friends who go and other comments and looking at video and photos. They must move,but only if they keep the same atmosphere. We have crap like that in football(soccer)here,were new stadiums killed the atmosphere. What do others who have been to Fenway,think,a new stadium should be to keep the traditions and atmosphere. I want to make it to Fenway before it comes down.

Another Scottish fan here. I got into the Red Sox and basbeall in 2004,so i must be a good omen,used to watch the games online or on our channel 5. I subscribe to MLB to watch the Sox games and i go to see them for the first time in july,in Toronto Seen my first BB game last yeat in Toronto. Iv got lots of online friends from the US who are Red Sox fans and go to the games,so thats how i got into it Here's hoping to a great time on here and a great 2009 for the Sox. James
