Can we just grab Adam Dunn for shits and giggles, without moving Manny? Manny, Drew and Dunn in the OF. Move Crisp, Masterson and whoever else it takes, getting insurance for either Manny's aloofness or Ortiz's hand?

Anyone remember the movie The Three Amigos? The Amigos use the strategy of riding around in a circle around villians doing fancy tricks and leaving those in the middle not overwhelmed, but befuddled? I feel that the Rays, Angels and Yankees are on those horses and the Sox--appropriately--are El Guapo in the middle.

If Manny stays and they let him go after the season is over, I hope the trade for Holliday.

 

I'm not sure if the Sox are better with him or without him at this point. Obviously his bat is great but if hes throwing AB's of his head isn't in it(more then usual) then I don't see the upside in not trading him. At this point trading him for Kemp wouldn't be bad. Maybe they can squeeze LA for someone else with Kemp.

Incredible. Rosenthal thinks the Manny talks may be back on. The trade deadline has technically official passed, but that doesn't mean much. By the time the rumors filter out, they're probably an hour or so old anyway. WPGB's Rocco DeMaro agrees that the three-team Ramirez talks had resumed and were likely to go to the deadline.

Let's hope it's for the last time. The proposed trade had Ramirez going to Florida, Jeremy Hermida going to Pittsburgh and Jason Bay going to Boston, with prospects and John Grabow also likely in the mix.
