ill give Dice-K credit. He bent a lot tonight but didn't really break. you can't expect to completely shutdown a lineup like the Yankees have

You're missing my bigger point: WHEN YOU HAD THEM IN YOUR LINEUP YOU STILL DIDN'T STEAMROLL EVERYONE. Not last year. not the year before that. Not 04. It doesn't scare me that those guys are injured and they'll be back next weekend. An offense can be totally stacked, but if your pitching sucks then your pitching sucks.

 

Are you saying it is absolutely impossible for Posada and Matsui to have gone 0-6 so far in this game?

I would too, mostly because I think if there's any way he can get a W out of it it would be great. It would also further endear him to the Sox fans if he were able to really leg it out.

 

that said, I bet it aint happening. (EDIT: the 8th that is)
