I really hate being right. 3-2. f***ING TORRE!! He still doesnt know that Wang cruises for 6+ and then loses it all of a sudden.

The problem is that he really should realize that Wang was losing it, because everything was being hit hard. At least after the Glaus AB, he should have had Vizcaino up. The problem is that he didn't realize that Wang was running into trouble. I don't blame Torre for not forseeing the seventh inning problems, however I do blame him for not having Vizcaino ready once the problems did start.

EDIT: Cano really has got to learn to hustle out of the box. This bottom of the order really sucks today.

EDIT: On top of that, you can't say that that always happens to Wang. For as many times as he has lost it in the seventh there are just as many times when he had a good seventh.

Time for Torre to be fired!!! RIGHT NOW!! LAST WEEK!!! LAST YR!!! GET HIM THE HELL OUT OF HERE!!!

You would not have had Wang start the seventh?

I would have had someone warming in the 7th. Once Stairs got the double, I'd have them warm up with intensity. Wells hit was BS. But Glaus' LONG FB was hung badly and I would have pulled him at that point. But I REALLY noticed Wang hanging his pitches on the first strike he threw to Hill. Next pitch, boom, rbi triple.

I don't think jax is saying that. I think he is saying he would have had him on a shorter leash in the 7th and pulled him once it was apparent that the Jays were hitting him hard consistently.

any coach in that situation would of had wang pitched the 7th , you even said it yourself , " wang is making this look easy"

in the inning he was throwing in. Wang falls apart all at once. You have to prepare for it.

Tough loss, although you guys are all missing the boat by blaming Torre. This loss has got to go on a small group of players, not the manager.

That's fair, but Wang's your ace. You can't always pull him at the first sign of trouble.

but this is who Wang is. A 6+ inning pitcher who could go the full game. BUT, when he starts losing it, he falls apart. If he is getting hit when he is making good pitches, then so be it. But when his sinker is sitting middle, he is useless.

The Yankees losses mean nothing unless the Sox get wins.

Trust me, when the Sox lose there's nothing better than a Yanks' loss, but I now get aggrivated when the Yanks lose because it's a probability that the Sox lost too.

Jacksonian... oh Jacksonian....??

oh, btw, you guys are now tied with the Guardians in the loss column. Hence, the yankees are just as far out of the WC as they are out of the East.

9-0? Now, the game isn't over, but I"m not ready to declare the Yankees AL East champs just yet.

the moments to have fun on this thread have been few and far between for a few weeks but i like this from fox regarding edwar ramirez and his stuff.

News: Ramirez struck out the side in his major league debut on Tuesday, finishing off the Yankees' 8-0 win over the Twins.

Impact: This isn't out of line with what Ramirez was doing before his callup, when he struck out 80 batters over 43.1 innings combined between Double-A and Triple-A. Perhaps this outing will encourage Joe Torre to use him Ramirez in closer game situations.

and this box from this evening

Pitcher

Name IP H R ER BB K ERA*

E Ramirez 0 1 3 3 4 0 15.43

i wont bother you with the 19 pitch 17 ball effort.

this is exhibit A as to why i dont think the yanks can catch us.

despite our woes and apathetic last 2 months i think our pitching is just too consistant over the long haul and the yanks just dont have the arms to catch us.

9 weeks left and its still too early to start raising banners however....
