Out of Wednesday's starting lineup in favor of rookie Shelley Duncan, Johnny Damon suggested that the Yankees should trade him if they aren't going to play him regularly.

Facing a left-handed starter, Duncan smacked a two-run homer. "As a player, you always want to know what your role is and what's happening," Damon said. "If I'm still out there on the margin, especially with Jason [Giambi] coming back. Anything's possible. I know a lot of teams are interested. With Jason coming back and a number of outfielders going down, the Yankees could probably get a better player now than what they probably got offered July 31."

Here the Yankees are storming through (19-9 in July) trying to at least get a wild card and 2 scenarios are popping up. The media and some fans are actually criticizing A-Rod for not hitting his 500th HR yet and now Johnny "Payton" is asking for a trade? Only in New York

How did he only get 3 of those runs earned? How are the 3 runners he let reach base and score AFTER the error not earned. I can see the 2 guys on base/advanced bases on the error not being earned, but he then let other guys on and score. The error was with only 1 out, so I believe the last 3 runs should also be earned. Either way, he sucked ass.

I don't think he cares too much that only three of them were earned. He knows, regardless or any errors, that he didn't do his job.

There was first and second and nobody out. You can't assume the double play. So lets say that they get the lead runner, instead of Cano booting it. Now there's two outs and runners on the corners. It's then assumed that Clemens will make the play on the Cintron dribbler, and then the inning is over...with only three runs scoring.
