In the Box Score for the Red Sox last night, it showed this "Donnelly (H, 1)". What does that H stand for? Ive seen it before, and i skimmed the Basesball Terms and Definitions thread and it wasnt there either.

Yea, it's a Hold...relievers get it if they come into a game in a save situation, get at least one person out, and don't give up the lead.

And don't get the save. It usually comes in the 8th inning.

Well if you're not a closer or starter you should at least get some credit... so then there was the "Hold"
