Whats the weather suppose to look like throughout the day? I'm down in Washington DC and we're suppose to have 60 mph winds by the time they would be throwing out the first pitch in boston. -
My buddy sent that to me a couple days ago - I thought it was pretty good (minus papi wearing that trash). ESPN commercials are the best on tv - they had some good college rivalry ones too a while back.

Well, I agree that its still early in the season and they are still working things out. A lot can still develope and change at this point.

also, don't you think the unusually high volume of press at a Royals game caused a little bit of over-reporting/embellishing by those who were there trying to out report each other? I like what i saw yesterday, but as far as press is concerned i'm waiting and giving them 2 grains of salt.

I don't know, I still like nomar for this reason. Right after we won it all there was a surge in the number of boston hats, etc... to the point where it was almost trendy all around washington dc where I live. It got to be so bad there was even somewhat of a backlash - people began questioning you on whether you were a fair weather fan and I was over and over again asked "are you from boston?" My Garciaparra shirt was a clear sign to these critics that not only was I proud that my team won, but I was also a fan when we lost - and not just like wearing a classic jersey, but even up to the year before. Yes, I wasn't happy that he didn't shave his head with the rest of the idiots because he was getting married, but hey I still like him anyway. just my opinion.

Wow, the Nats game last night was the coldest baseball game I've ever been to. I've been to colder football games, but RFK last night was freezing. I made it to the 8th inning before the wind picked up and I couldn't take it anymore. If the Sox were playing I would have stuck it out, but the wind picked up and it was freezing and I even brough coat, gloves, etc... I thought it was spring already.

Yeah, the one that I usually go to is in Georgetown. Its called Rhino Bar and I would probably not go there if they didn't have the game on - but they have some good sized TVs which is key in addition to other Sox fans.

Eh, I still think its a bit early, I say wait another couple weeks to give him a chance. Although i will become impatient and could change pretty quickly if he doesn't do something soon.

Hey everyone, First post here and just wanted to introduce myself. I live in the Washington DC area but my family is from Springfield Mass, and I've been a Sox fan my whole life. I'm sure from my name you can tell who my favorite player its and also that I'm a virginiatech hokie. Don't get the game on tv around here today but here's to us winning (i actually have tickets to the nats game today and will be checking the score from there. GO SOX!
