I firmly believe there is no tougher market to play in than Boston. The way he protects his players from the media and the way he goes to the mat for his guys makes him a really good manager.

He's easily the best manager for the Sox in my lifetime, and he's still getting better.

I think it was you that told me you are about 20 or so; is that right? Well if so you haven't been a Red Sox fan that much longer than I have, but I take it you go back to Jimy and Joe. Well I certainly would take Tito over those two shits any day, and double that for Grady @#$%^&*.

I think your hatred for Little glares because of that one bad decision. He wasn't that much worse than Francona, if worse at all. He made one bad decision: not taking Petey out. If he made that decision, he'd be here instead of Francona today.

Well Schill, he did not and he's not here. I get to see him on TV just about every day out here in sunny LA and the sight of him and the sound of his voice just sickens me. I can remember screaming at the TV set that drab October evening, get Pedro out of there. Our bullpen had been lights out all that series; we had two fresh pitchers available, and batters hit over 375 against Pedro after 100 pitches. I have yet to run into a Red Sox fan who hasn't told me they were saying the same thing. Hell, I never saw the debacle that ensued. I told my wife the game was over and went to bed---even though we had a two run lead. I have never been so sure of a blunder being made as when I saw him walk back to the dugout with Petey still on the mound.

I'm assuming you felt exactly as I did the next morning knowing we pissed the AL Flag away and let the Yankees into the WS. It was as miserable a feeling as I've ever had as a baseball fan.

Eh, I think I might have had it a little worse. That next day sucked beyond belief, but when Boone hit the homer I sat in front of the TV and watched replay after replay hoping for a different ending. It ended up with me punching the wall pretty hard and bruising my hand (I didn't pull a Kevin Brown though). I cried myself to sleep also. I'm man enough to admit it. I don't think there's a Sox fan that didn't at least shed a tear that night.

Hey my friend, I believe every word you said. I have no doubt if they gave you a lie detector test you would pass with flying colors. However, I cannot understand how you could keep rewinding that tape and see that tragedy unfurl. Hell when I see it on one of my Red Sox tapes today I fast forward the damn thing so I don't have to see it.

My friend Jackson really pissed me off with his post. Read it. Man did it frost me. Yes, you and so many others have rooted for the Sox longer than I have, but what Jackson fails to see that this convert is as rabid as they come. You know something? Last September when the Red Sox went to Yankee Stadium for that four game series, they won the first game 6-3. It was meaningless but I wound up kissing all the ladies in my section because I was so wound up. No Red Sox fan should doubt the rabidness of another Red Sox fan and I know exactly how you feel and, again, if anything, think you are actually understating your case.

Ok. I've moved the crap out of this thread and put it in the fights and crap section. You can continue this discourse there :)

Schill, I'm through responding to that guy. He can respond to himself. He goes to different boards and plucks out something someone else said in my name as in that other board, or something I said last year that has no bearing on this season. My concern is the Red Sox and the rest of the season. I can't learn anything from him.
