My point is that they don't show up in the stats as part of his total chances (Put Outs + Assists). If he has 50 more total chances, and 1 more error, then that's 49 extra outs. Now if it's just 50 more balls he got to, then I agree. I interpretted what Crespo said as 50 more total chances.

This was a big game, we do not lose any ground, still 2 back of the Yanks, 2 back of the White Sox, tied with the Twins for 2nd place, as they play tonight. Go for the sweep tomorrow, if we win tomorrow, exactly what we needed after the roadtrip and before the tough 8 games.

--Bullpen of Hansen, Timlin, Papelbon hold the line for 4 scoreless innings

-- Great to see other guys than 3-4 were able to get it done.

--Pena well just continues to stamp his name in the lineup card, how about the #5 spot now Tito? Then Youk move down to the 7 or 8 spot to solidify the bottom of the order

--Mirabelli had one of his classic big swinging days, which included another clutch game tying HR

--Manny enough said, I had a feeling he could be the game winner

I agree that Ped will prob be a better 2nd baseman next year over Loretta. However all this originated when you said the sox should DFA Loretta now and bring Ped up----my opinion of course, but that's just dumb. Let's not toss a kid out there in the middle of a penant race when 2nd base is not our problem.....Let's finish out this year and hope that Ped can hold down the starting job next yearB)

EDIT: I looked it up. It was a walkoff RBI single that scored Todd Walker in the 14th inning against Houston.
