After the game Terry will say, "He battled. A couple of ground balls got through the infield and he made one or two bad pitches and before you know it he gave up 7 or 8 runs." It would be refreshing to hear Terry say that the guy blows aqnd doesn't belong in the rotation for a contender.

I think it's pretty safe to assume that Johnny said one/some of the things you aren't supposed to say. Gomes is a hot-head, so that shouldn't come as any surprise.

No kidding.. On a side note, the rays have had the leadoff batter on in every inning so far:rolleyes: Good thing Johnson is battling!

Save yourself the pitches Jason and just plunk the first guy up every inning. Hell, they are getting on base anyway, so you might as well make 'em pay for it.

anyone a little more interested in trading for a proven quality starting pitcher?? This is starting to get frustrating having to deal with this #5 starter crap.....it just throws us into a slump

 

 

I would rather give snyder a shot--he hasn't screwed up yet. We know we will get fatman or clement back and then lester can be the #5. I would rather have snyder try to fill in until then instead of giving up prospects.

Ouch. All I have to go by tonight is Gameday. I think I'm happy I didn't actually see that with my own two eyes.

When he left 3rd everyone in the place was yelling: "He's going!" And the POS Johnson still took forever to deliver the ball. He could have stolen it standing up and not got hit by the ball. Unbelievable.

Johnson should have hit Cantu, then its a dead ball, even though Cantu goes to 1st, and Crawford goes back to 1st.

Johnson's 2 starts with the Red Sox

8 innings, 10 Runs, 13 Hits, 5 Walks, 2 hit batters, 4 SBs

 

His next scheduled start is against Oakland after the All-Star Break. I call BS if he gets that far, let alone rides with the team on the bus to the hotel tonight
