No it isn't...not with Montreal anyway. I hate those motherfuc*ers like you wouldn't believe. Next most hated, almost equal to the Habs, would be the Rangers.

A couple sat behind us a few years ago at a B's- Rangers game in Boston...I think it was the '03-'04 season. They were Rangers fans. The B's started beating their asses and this guy and girl started yelling stuff about the Yankees being better than the Sox. I had my kids with me so we obviously took it. Obnoxious bastards they were.

yea, but at least the name Montreal Canadiens and that logo strikes an emotion in you, unlike a team in Tampa Bay or Columbus

thats what im talking about

hockey should make you intense enough to want to punch your grandmother in the mouth before they drop the puck.

something about the skipjacks and the predators and the california that just isnt right.

phil lynch,a former gallery God and a former screw at the house of corrections in Billerica threw a husband and a wife down the lodge stairs at the old garden when the old quebecois got up and screamd GEAUX MONREALLLE....ALLES-TU LES HABITANTS....and the wife looked at lynchy with that look....""what the f*** you lookin at yank""...she went down on her ass but the hubby hit every concrete step on the way down, then security got them and that is just the worst situation to be in....bleeding from every orifice in your face with a french accent on your way to area A or the somerville pd lockup to spend an evening in the drunk tank with the locals.....

anyone remember this game

1976 sunday night in the spring and the bruins and c's tied 2-2 with the b's having 2 goals called back??

lafleur scored

God I hated that prick but loved to watch him play

hows peter mahovolich doing these days?

he was a decent center but a jerk off

his big brother was a legit superstar

good point. I used to do crazy s*** before Bruins-Canadiens games, even performed an exorcism one year...my mom loved it, my father thought I was a tool...that was the year they finally beat Montreal in a playoff series.

I guess a B's-Habs playoff wouldn't be so bad since the B's are likely to lose in the first round anyway...might as well be entertaining, and that series would have the potential given the history.

For anyone wondering if the Bruins would play any meaningful games this year...tonight is one of 'em. Look at the standings in the Eastern Conference...they're tighter around the 7th and 8th spots than a heterosexual's ass in the prison shower.

Two series I'll be watching closely....

Bruins...obviously

Devils-Rangers: I hate the Rangers. I don't care for the Devils that much, but I do hate the Rangers with a passion. This shoudl be, as always, a very intense series.

My guess is I'll be watching the Devs-Rangers a couple games beyond the B's elimination at the hand of the Habs.

Looks like the B's vs. Habs will NOT be shown on NESN tonight in Connecticut...at least not on Comcast.

But I will be treated to Detroit vs. Nashville on Versus.

What the f*ck?

Posted
NESN has both the Red Sox and Bruins being shown at the same time. Huh?

Not sure exactly what the deal is. If I understood correctly, on NESN's broadcast schedule they list the Bruins game...but there's is an entry in RED that says "alternate programming for Connecticut" and indicates in CT we'll get the Sox, not the B's.

I have a wedding rehearsal dinner anyway, but I wanted to tape it and watch the replay when I get home...wonder if at midnight they'll do the B's replay here in CT.

BS21...no I never thought they had a chance....but I thought they'd muster at least 20 shots on goal, not be behind 2-0 in the first 2 minutes and maybe start a fight once they knew they'd lose.

Hapless is a word that came to mind when watching the debacle unfold.

The B's could easily be up 2-1 in this series. Whatever. Win on Tuesday and let's tie up this series.

I agree . The B's got screwed on saturdays game with the refs giving montreal 5PP in a row at the end of regulation and the start to overtime

The officiating in the B's series has been absolutely horrendous.

Shaefer almost gets his head taken off with a high stick...no call.

Savard (who does embellish the hits from behind) is drilled face first into the boards...no call.

The Bruins last night played with desperation and my heart was pounding at times during the game...haven't felt that in a long, long time. Couple thoughts:

Is Milan Lucic a Neely type player or what? 19 yrs old and this kid brings it each and every shift, with savvy.

Glen Murray is a step or two behind every time he's on the ice...he's not helping and I fear he'll hurt the team at some point. I hope I am wrong and he starts to put the puck in the net, but so far it's rare he even touches the puck.

I absolutely love Milan Lucic. Him and probably Savard are the two guys on the Bruins that I'd take on my Habs.....maybe Krejci too

youre gonna say that when you guys got a 2-man advantage to allow you to tie the game?

yeah and then the habs got the same and couldn't do anything with it , and then was the 4 minute high sticking that should of been 2 , and then in OT, right about when the 4 minutes was done he calls another one on a dive , and not to mention he mist a high stick that should of been a penalty for montreal

Posted

BoSox, not sure how anyone, even the biggest homer, could deny the B's got the short end overall on the penalty calls.

And for anyone that was really watching, take a look at the Canadiens tieing goal Sunday night...Brian Smolinski clearly interferes with Mark Stuart as he tries to get back to the front of the net. Very heady play by Smolinski, he throws a shoulder into Stuart, clear interference, but not called.

Canadiens are much more talented than the B's, I will say that. They also, IMO, have the better goalie. The B's hanging with them for the last two games, and outplaying them at times, is commendable in and of itself.

FYI, I saw Kovalev take himself out of a play again feigning injury and it almost cost the Habs. Anyone remember him doing that one year, got "slashed" and left the puck at his own blue line as he pretended to be hurt, and the B's scored to win it? The replays showed his hand was not even hit. Awesome. The guy scares me whenever he has the puck but he is a fkn tool.

the two-man advantage we got was in Game 1 when we were already up 4-1, not Game 2. The 4 minute high-sticking should not have been 2, Kostopolous got cut. As stupid as that rule is, its still the rule.

True on the 4 minutes, not much they can do about it, inadvertant or not.

The big one was the OT "trip" in game 2...very marginal call, and particularly more so when you consider the situation.

WTF did you even watch the game ? the habs got a 2 man advantage

here's the penalties an that last 10 minutes

12:50 2 minute penalty on Jeremy Reich for Holding

14:17 2 minute penalty on Glen Metropolit for Tripping

17:43 4 minute penalty on Shawn Thornton for High-sticking

1:31 2minute penalty on Jeremy Reich for Tripping

bassicaly the B's were short handed for 10 straight minutes

and also blood does not mean automatic 4 minutes , Ive seen ALOT of worst high stick that resulted in 2 minutes
