He's good, but we get to him alot. Tonight we didn't even make him pitch, we just swung at the first stuff we saw ----trot, tek, and lowell all were gone quick! --5pitches!!!!!!!!!!

Nixon has basically no power left. Its embarassing that he is the red sox number 5 hitter. Youkilis would certainly be a much better option there.

At some point I would expect players like Philips and Cabrera to come back down to earth....they have been playing above their heads for the last few weeks now and I am skeptical it can continue.

 

I expect that to be true for Melky, but not Phillips. He's a good hitter, he's just never been given consistent playing time in the majors. Now that he's getting that, and he's able to play without having to worry about the Columbus Shuttle, he should be able to produce on a consistent basis. Now is going to continue at this pace? Probably not, but he should be a productive member of the lineup.

That was a heart stopper. Poor Pauley's reaction though dampened my celebrations. Oh well, if he continues to pitch like that he will more than make up for it. Great game. I'll be there tomorrow and I'd like to see the same turnout...that is if the rain doesn't get in the way.

When he faces a half decent team he gets hammered----that's why he has a 7+ ERA when facing over .500 teams! He has great stuff, but he needs to learn to pitch and not throw---he's stubborn and won't listen to anyone! He better get his head out of his butt soon becuase we need him!

2 games in a row he has pitched bad. Im not going to worry about. Toronto's offense was extremley hot going into that game and the Yankees offense is the best in baseball. Hes already shut down the yanks once this year

I was watching the game from 2000 today on ESPN Classic where Trot hit the monter ninth inning shot off Clemens at Yankee Stadium. He still is a good player. I don't think anyone outside Ramirez and Ortiz were hitting today. It's not all on Trot.
