a great sign that Robinson should consider retiring. You dont cry after a performance like that, you call the guy into your office and give him a bus ticket back to AAA

ya but you dont cry because one of the guys on your team sucks. If he sucks, which he does, the manager shouldn't play him, not cry about him sucking.

This guy is a class act in my opinion. So what, he cried. He disrespected his player and was upset at himself. Now that is a bond between a manager and his players to care for them like that.

Imagine this. Your plaing 2nd base. You commit 2 errors and the coach pulls you in the middle of the inning. Would you not be embarresed at all with so many people seeing your manager do that? Frank Robinson is old do he believes in the old fasshion(spelling) rule in "respect your player, they respect you."

This middle-older age baseball men crying stuff was started by Joe Torre. IMO these guys are going into some sort of senile dementia that makes them very sentimental. When Robbie was a young man he probably would have pulled that guy off the field by his ear and lectured him in the club house. At these first signs of senile sentimentality, they should be forced to resign.

haha, Lecroy is BY FAR, the worst catcher in baseball

8 SB in 6 innings? Most high school catchers could do better. What a joke.

in 88 innings catching this year, Lecroys let up 20 SB.

Varitek has only let 10 guys steal in 293 innings

 He should man up and send the guy back down to Triple A, or bench him or something. Crying is about the last thing you should do, it shows weakness and you need to project strength.

I think you guys need to give the guy a break. He's a great guy and probably as tough as they come. He dealt with a lot while he was playing, even having to carry a gun due to death threats he experianced in his younger days. The man honestly felt bad for having to take out a catcher that gave his heart and soul to him. The man is a stand up guy, a man I'd like to play for.
