I just wanted to say that I do understand why you made this sub forum, but I think that the Yankee fans here need to understand the Talksox.com part. The Yankee Thread is really all thats needed, major injuries and things like that are ok, but I think that some Yankees fans have tried to turn this subforum(General MLB) into Yankees, and I only feel The Yankee Tjhread is needed(and that Yankee game threads shouldn't even be had, lol, go to Yankee sites)

But, I do understand why it was made, and I'm just saying my thoughts.

Gary Sheffield (hand) took batting practice on Sunday and told manager Joe Torre he was ready to play in a game.

Sheffield's hand is feeling good because he decided to undergo a cortisone shot, something he said he wouldn't do a couple of weeks ago. Maybe the soreness will come back when the injection wears off, but it currently looks like he'll return from the disabled list before the end of the week. His return should result in fewer at-bats for Bernie Williams, although the DH spot will remain open for him. May. 21 - 9:33 pm et

Heres some good news for Yankees fans

The New York Times reports that Gary Sheffield (hand) will make a rehab appearance at Double-A Monday.

Barring a setback Sheffield is expected to return to the Yankees Tuesday in Boston. "I just basically told him it was up to him," manager Joe Torre said. "The only thing we want to do is test his wrist, and we'll live with the fact that he's going to get his timing with us. I just want him to physically test it first and just have him come up here." ""More important, where is A-Rod? The overdogs need the ultimate overdog player. Because Rudy and Rocky just don't fit the Yankees ""

Jorge Posada tweaked a tendon behind his knee, Torre said. He's questionable for tonight.-Boston Globe
Let's not forget that Unit and Jorge hate each other, which makes him more doubtful for this evening.

that couldnt be further from the truth. Jorge and Unit have actually become friends and the Unit actually talks to Jorge during the entire game even when Stinnett catches. But go ahead and spin it any way you like it...

Surprised? I'm not. These guys love twisting things without having any idea what they're talking about.

Some postives and negatives from today's game. Since charges go from negative to positive in a complete circuit, we'll start out with the negatives:

1. Posada has a problomatic tendon, don't know how long he'll be out.

2. RJ didn't get any worse, but didn't get any better either, so that's a negative.

3. Proctor gets pounded by manny once again as manny has another great night

Positives:

1. Yanks able to score 8 runs with a complete s*** lineup

2. Melky gets 4 RBI's, Long gets a few hits.

3. Ortez goes 0-5 with 4 K's.

4. Joe shows confidence in Farnsworth allowing him to pitch to Ortez with the bases loaded, and he k's him

5. Mo does what mo of late has done, close out games.

When they pressed him on his grade, he went higher, because he thought maybe he had gone too low.

Relevance?

No, he said B and they were making fun on him. If anything, them pressing him would make him lower the grade, not increase it.

No relevance. I was just joking.

Go to the tape if you have it taped. I'm not the only one on these boards that heard it. It went something like this: Leiter: "I think I'd give him a 'B'". Kay: (Derisively) "A 'B'?" Slight chuckling from Singleton. Leiter: "What? A 'B+' ... maybe? Kay: That's very generous.

Now , I may not have the conversation verbatim, but I believe that I have captured the essence.
