Proctor comes in and faces the minimum 6 batters; he hit 97 on a consistent basis.

That's what happens when you don't overwork a relief pitcher.

ButrJoe will overwork him. You can count on that. He can't resist going to his horses.

Wagner with filthy stuff K's the side. Time for the Mets to put this one away.

double switch, Cairo comes into play 1st and hit in the pitcher spot and Rivera comes into pitch and hit in Giambi's spot.

Could hurt them if it goes into extra innings, even though the mets will win it now

Joe going to his horse in a tie game. He just can't help himself. He'll eventually burn out Rivera, because he can't rely on anyone else in the pen.

Wright pins the loss on Mo who has been giving up more solid hits this year than breaking bats.

And Damon was playing waaaaay too short.

I don't understand the move to IBB Delgado. I know he has good career stats against Rivera, but Wright is a very good RH batter, and Rivera's cutter is tougher on LH batters since it runs in on the hands. Whatever, I'll take it.

He was playing exactly where he should have been when Mo is at his best. Batters usually get flare hits or bleeding grounders off Mo. They don't usually drive the ball 400+ feet. He was playing the odds and he was in position. Mo got burned.

Mariano continues to falter in big spots.

And Randy Johnson makes it quite clear his problems aren't mechanical, he's just old.

Perhaps, but I maintain that it's easier to come in on a ball than to play one that's over your head.

You are the one Yankee fan that doesn't wear rose colored glasses when you watch the Yankees.

I think the OF may have to start playing deeper when Mo pitches if he keeps getting hit this hard. When he's right the OF should be shallow.
