The Yankees beat us. I'll admit to that, but were they great? They were a flawed limping injured team for more than half of the season. Our FO let stay them stay in the race by diddling around with an assortment of losers in the starting rotation and without providing any reinforcements at a time when the Red Sox should have been putting major distance between themselves and the Yankees. The Yankee FO provided the reinforcements and blew our doors off. They weren't a great team, but their FO kicked our FO's ass big time. There is no doubt about that.

This place is starting to get stupid' date=' the yankees were great this year, the red sox sucked.. get over it.[/quote']

In what way is it getting stupid? You mean the part where Sox fans don't like watching Yankee fans gloat over their season on a Sox board? How dare they. The nerve of those Sox fans to show they actually have a pulse.

Their season deserves to be gloated over' date=' it was a joke. If I was a yankee fan on here, I'd be doing the same thing.

No doubt, they should be proud. But when they do it in my house, I'll take issue over that type of disrespect.

About the part in red, what do you mean "if"? Given the way you act, there's reason to believe you are one.

Hahaha, not a yankee fan, just not a delusional unrealistic red sox fan either. I speak the truth.

Delusional? I have no problems with reality. The reality is you have the Yankee fans' back in just about every argument.

Unrealistic? Expecting a Sox board to be intolerant of Yankee fan baiting is unrealistic? Perhaps in a Yankee fans view of reality, but ask the others. I'm not standing on an island.

I don't care if you call me a yankee fan, because I'm not, I just back the NY fans in retarded arguments like Jeter isn't clutch and the Yankees FO won the division, not the players.

Yankee fans should be on these boards for the entertainment of the Red Sox fans. They serve a useful purpose as objects of our scorn and abuse. They rarely if ever contribute any useful baseball knowledge. Certainly those contributions are dwarfed by their ball-breaking, stupid, childish posts.

Personally, I don't care who you root for.

Valid arguments can be made for either side of those issues, so calling them retarded just shows your ignorance. If you have little to add other than ridicule to those discussions, why not just save the time and post one more time about how great you are at fantasy basketball or football? That seems to be your primary contribution to this site.

Haha..so I'm ignorant because I think that Jeter's clutch and that the yankees won the division...I think you're just in denial and trying to cover up for it by taking shots at me.

And getting pissed off in a fantasy baseball league and dropping all of his players to cause everyone else in the league fits :D

No, you're ignorant because you claim to be realistic but blow off any other argument that's valid that opposes your opinion. Stop sucking Yankee fans' dicks, and stop condoning their gloating on a Red Sox board. I don't give a s*** if they gloat somewhere else, but when it's on a Red Sox board, they deserve to get s*** tossed back in their faces.

3 players, and only one really would hurt my team.

So saying that Jeter isn't clutch is valid, do you want me to give you the facts again or what?

Try reading what I said again. I didn't say you were ignorant for your opinion, but I did say you were ignorant for ridiculing the argument because there are valid points for either side. C'mon, a fantasy wizard like you can handle a little reading comprehension, right?

Posted

There are no valid points for saying Jeter isn't clutch, only isolated incidents like conspiracy theories for 9/11.

Also, do I hear a little jealousy kicking in about fantasy football...?

Look at his late game splits. Not for just one season, but his career, afterall, he's clutch all the time right? Even if you don't put credence in those things, they are reason enough to make an argument valid. You don't have to buy it, but only an ignorant person would ridicule it.

Jealous about fantasy football? Keep reaching. You were the one tooting your own horn, I'm just going with what you've put out there.

There's irony in you complaining about ''ball-breaking' date=' stupid, childish posts.''[/quote']THat's not what I asked you.

BTW:I'm the first to admit that I like to be a ball-breaker, but my posts are not stupid and they are only rarely childish

If you've watched playoff baseball for the past decade' date=' you'd realize that Jeter is clutch.[/quote']

We aren't arguing whether or not he's clutch. The issue is your inability to see beyond your own viewpoint. Nice try to steer the conversation away from that, though.

I can see beyond my own viewpoint on issues that actually have two sides to the story but Jeter is clutch, end of discussion.

End of discussion? Open-minded people rarely end thoughts with that.

Like it or not, there are several statistical measures that support the anti-clutch argument. That alone validates the counter-point to your belief. You don't have to buy it, but refusing to accept it proves my point.

There's a valid argument that no player is clutch but if you believe in a player being clutch, then Jeter definitely fits that description.
