It is my opinion that several, no make that most, no make that all of the Yankee fans on these Boards who profess great knowledge of Yankee history really know very little about it. I will periodically post a Yankee trivia question. These question will be from different eras of Yankee history. I will not use electronic or other research aids in formulating these questions. These questions will come from my own feeble memory. Hopefully, I know the right answer. lol!!! I will issue a warning post to signal that a question will be coming in 5 minutes. After the question is posted, the correct answer must be given in 2 minutes to prevent any internet or other research to get the correct answer. If this time frame proves inadequately short or long, I will adjust it.

Okay, since ARod's dad is a pretty tough customer, this question will be a followup about SuperChief, Allie Reynolds. He pitched a no-hitter against the Boston Red Sox. Who made the last out in that no hitter, what were the unusual circumstances of that last out?

Nah, in every Yogi Berra interview he tells that same story. Lol it sticks after awhile.
Ah, the YES Network, the great educational tool for Yankee history. I'll be back with some more tomorrow.

what the hell makes you say that? FYI I have been a big baseball history buff ever since I got into baseball...I remember being like 6 and 7 and reading Red Foley's illustrated baseball encyclopedia thing

..but seriously, I do a lot of reading on baseball and Yankee history. Lately i've been really into pre-1900 Major League baseball, like the PLayers League and the Union Association and all of that. King Kelly, Brouthers, etcc..

but anyways....wheres the next one?

That's cool. You got the disease. When I got my first job, the olt-timers were amazed that I knew trivia from the 40's and 50's.
