  1. Oh, and I think EllsburyforMVP's favorite movie is Space Jam.
  2. One could argue that the Cavs are in better shape to be in the NBA Finals than the Rockets are in the next three years.
  3. Did you see Gregor Blanco rob that hit in the 7th? What a catch.
  4. Anyone see Harper's blast last night?
  5. Rondo's TS% have fallen over the last two years by 6%.
  6. I'm leaning toward Thunder in 7.
  7. Crawford, Ellsbury, and Ross. Nava and Sweeney on the bench. Kalish to AAA.
  8. I think you're overstating how bad Sanchez was when he signed his contract, and understating how bad Bard is right now. Bard just got banished to Pawtucket. Pitchers like that aren't below average. They are bad. Bard's starter value would be likely to net him a $1 million.
  9. $6 million, but Sanchez had two decent years, and good strikeout numbers. Bard's never done that.
  10. How do you mean? Lavarnway isn't being blocked by an inferior player.
  11. Might be the abdominal issue? Those aren't bad scoring numbers though. I didn't see the game, but was Bosh struggling on defense that badly?
  12. I don't know if you saw that HOF speech, or read any other details of his personal life, but I think it's pretty obvious that Michael Jordan personifies that word.
  13. We have a lot of good quality relief pitchers. It's amazing that Melancon hasn't made it back from AAA yet.
  14. He's really fast, and plays good defense. I read there are some questions if he's going to be an elite batter.
  15. I was going to say Scott Atchinson, but then I saw he has a .86 ERA. How?
  16. Paul, Wade, James, Durant, Howard/Love could definitely give that team a game.

  18. "It" is major media hype, when major columnist proclaim you have it. I don't know if you watched the Nuggets and Thunder series, but Kobe didn't have "it." He was awful in the clutch, but because he made a big shot here and there in the past, and has rings, it was enough for the talking heads to proclaim he had "it." I'm sorry, but I really think people are swayed by the major hype they are given. Looking at the numbers, none of those guys really have "it." Except LeBron, who has been the more efficient player in clutch situations than either Kobe or Wade. Looks like statistics bust the preconceived notions....
  19. http://www.libertyballers.com/2012/2/29/2832299/lebron-james-kobe-bryant-dwyane-wade-clutch-nba-playoffs-4th-quarter This is a good read. I think there is a perception that is widely repeated, and therefore widely believed by the majority of people. Usually isn't true.
  20. I thought the Spurs would dispatch the Thunder pretty quickly, but given the fight they have given them, and that Bosh's return may be around the corner, the NBA Finals will be pretty tight. Celtics are not going to beat the Heat. They will lose in Miami. Unless LBJ fouls out.
  21. http://www.grantland.com/blog/the-triangle/post/_/id/28570/how-did-the-heat-botch-their-final-possession Great analysis here.
