Leads in NBA games are not very secure things...you can blow a 10-point lead in about a minute. OKC has come from behind to win a lot of their games this postseason.

No s*** , 10 points is nothing . Unless there's only 2 minutes to play in the game.

That's why I'm trying to figure what Emmz means that they are blowing leads

How so ?

How about 3 consecutive home gms without having to travel? And let's say you steal a road gm out of the 1st 2, then you come home and win 2 out of 3... Lower seed is up 3-2.... Or even if both teams win their home gms to start the series, the lower seed is up 3-2? Even though your going home for the final 2, it's more pressure being down 3-2....

I agree 100%.

2-3-2's better' date=' I'd like to see it become the global format actually. For one I think the excessive travel is dumb. Two it places a greater importance on home court. More is at stake.[/quote']

So if both teams are " great " home teams, is it fair for the higher seed to go back home down 3-2? Even if they are a " great " home team .... I know there's not many scenarios to even think about settling this, and I agree 2-2-1-1-1 is ridiculous... But maybe give the higher seed the option of either a 3-3-1 or 2-3-2 series at the start.... I actually think a 3-3-1 would make for more gm 7's which is what we all want to see anyways

They go back for two games at home. Nothing unfair about that, the series isn't over.

3-3-1... I don't know. That's never even crossed my mind.

I think it would be more fair all-around....let's face it, if our fav teams aren't in the finals, we all want to see a last-second shot in gm 7 decide the series... A 3-3-1 series ( although is a little advantage for the home team-but they should have an advantage right? ) would be more probable for 7 gm series...

I'm not saying its unfair, but if they win gm 5 in Miami, they are still going home down 3-2 with all the pressure on them for gm 6, granted the roles will be reversed if it goes to gm 7

I wouldn't say 2-3-2 is totally unfair, but I do think it gives an edge to the team with the 3. They have the opportunity to take one of the first two and then close it at home like Miami is on the verge of doing. I think that puts a lot of pressure on the home team to hold serve the first two games.

By your "Great Home Team" logic, 3-3-1 is the worst idea. The home team goes up 3-0, and the other team is kind of f***ed.

If its really fairness then just switch off every game. That's really the only way you can't say there's an advantage/disadvantage. It's just kind of inefficient, so who really gives a s***?

Wizards got Emeka Okafor and Trevor Ariza! Championship!

I like the trade for the Wizards. They get a couple of defensive veterans/professionals to help out the inexperienced young guns, and both their contracts are up in 2014, so at that deadline they have two trade chips to use to try and add to what will hopefully be a team on the upswing by then.

Hornets did good too, they cleared an insane amount of money and got a 2nd round pick out of the deal.

By the same logic, it gives the lower seed the advantage (2-3-2 ).. I would rather be the lower seed in a 2-3-2 format

I thought about this for a bit' date=' and I would rather be watching the Yankees collect another ring than Lebron doing so right now.[/quote']

Why, because LeBron got tired of carrying Mo Williams and J.J. Hickson on his back year after year?

NBA is a joke' date=' the sport is fixed. Who cares.[/quote']

I bet that's exactly what you said when the Celtics won in 2008.

I'm pretty neutral because I don't really have a team. I have to say LeBron was pretty amazing this postseason especially starting with Game 6 against the Celtics.

So now Burger King wins a ring and now the media thinks he is a better athlete then Jordan, a better overral basketball player.STFU!!!

Funny, the old celtics where the only ones who put up a challenge. If only they had younger legs, then the heat might have not been hosting that trophy.

He isn't even in the same galaxy as Jordan.

He can now clean Michael's shorts, about all he's fit for. Him and everybody else.

I always have to chuckle when anybody's compared to MJ, 6 titles, probably 8 if he doesn't retire. Scoring title every full season he played with the Bulls, and the best defensive guard of all time.

I actually like the trade for the Wizards too, Ariza and Okafor helps add some defensive veterans to a team that was really lacking any defensive stoppers.

Now I hope the Wizards trade/amnesty Blatche, draft Beal and roll with a lineup of Wall-Beal-Ariza-Okafor-Nene, with some young up and coming players like Booker, Seraphin, Crawford and Vesely off the bench.

I actually feel like this team could be decent next year.

I don't like Beal. He's undersized and lacks the athleticism to compensate for it, and there's nothing special about his game outside of scoring.

I'd like to see the Wizards trade #3 and a contract (maybe flip Ariza) for James Harden and #28. Harden's poor finals showing isn't really indicative of much, it was just a bad series. He's bigger than Beal, is a better playmaker, a better defender, and he's proven. OKC has to unload Harden or Ibaka at some point, since they're pricing themselves to the point where the Thunder won't be able to keep both. MKG and Ariza keeps them good in the short term and makes their perimeter defense pretty scary.

LeBron, Wade, and Bosh are all due at the olympics, so I have my doubts that they can repeat next year, just because of the fatigue involved from getting basically a one month break from last fall to next June. Maybe if Riley works some magic and can talk Nash or Ray Allen into signing for the vet minimum and Marcus Camby for the MLE, they can pull it off, that would help their depth immensely.
