Alright, this is a good win (even though one of our best clutch players just got hurt). We are high right now, but we still have pitching woes, we need a defensive centerfielder, and Brown's back might be acting up again. Yankee fans, lets enjoy this, but not too much. We went through tough times earlier in the year, and those times might come back if our pitching situation is not resolved. The Red Sox (and the Orioles), are very dangerous teams. Just heard on the postgame for the second time that Brown might be hurt. We have our problems, but so do the other teams in the division. One more think, no Rivera tomorrow night, so we better get a good size lead. It is a whole new race. The Yanks weathered the storm, but when we were struggling at our worst we fell to 9 games out. The Red Sox, although they are struggling, are only a half a game out. After tomorrow the two teams may be reversed, again, in the standings. And even if that happens, its not a big deal. This division will be won in late August and September. It should be an extremely exciting and enjoyable race, and good luck to all!

Hey Guys, as much as I like to brag and I'm all for a friendly rivalry, let's not forget Baltimore is stll in the race ( and might better even stronger with potential trades ). To be honest, neither the Sox or the Yanks have yet to have a healthy lineup together for any significant ( hence the streaks- that and strenth of schedule ). None of this will be known until we see who gets what in trades, who comes back from injuries ( major questions in both camps ), and who gets called up and performs. So why not just enjoy the wins, get over the losses and look forward to September. BTW, I still think the Sox are better.

I'm still writing the Yankees off for this year. You still have no SPing. I don't think you're going to be able to outscore every team you play between now an october. At some point you're bats are going to cool down and the Yankees will be a team that hovers right above .500, and finishes 3rd in the division. Yankee fans, you want to believe that you're getting in the playoffs this year just because you're the Yankees. Thats always what I hear from analysts, "They're the Yankees ... they'll turn it around" "They'll win the division ... come on they're the Yankees" I think this year will be the first year in a long while that ESPN will have to find another teams dick to ride into the playoffs. Although I'm sure they'll spend all of the playoffs talking about how the Yankees should be there.
