would he still be a moron had Theo and John Henry went the "extra mile" and gotten him into Boston 2 winters ago. Thats one of the main things i hate about Sox fans, theyre so f***ing undecided, first youre throwing it in our faces how youre gonna have a better SS, then when you dont get him hes the f***in worst person in the world, but had you gotten him there would be no negativity toward him on the part of Sox fans. Its NOT HIS FAULT that hes not in Boston right now, just like ITS NOT HIS FAULT that hes in NY right now, he was apprached with proposal to move to 3rd to play on a winning team, something he wanted to do, so he decided to move to third, he didnt say "i want to go to the Yankees". So why dont you guys just f***ingg lay off him because we all know if he was in Red Socks right now it would be a f***ing A-Rod lovefest in here.

for the last time...its not cause we dont have him...he's an ass.

No, it wouldn't. You see Schilling we think he's amazing, good pitcher, yea yea...but we all think he should just SHUT THE f*** UP sometimes. He always has an opinion on every single thing out there.

I love A-Rod's talent, but he's an *******. I don't think he's an ******* for not coming to Boston, because you're right, it's not his fault he didn't come here, nor his fault he went to NY. I think he's an *******, not because of slapping Arroyo, but because he went on to say he thought slapping Arroyo was a good play, and never went on to apologize. When he talks, he's an *******, when he plays, he's a great player. I think Schilling can be an ******* sometimes when he talks about Lou Piniella not knowing how to manage anymore. I'm sorry Schill, but that's not your call to make comments like that. I respect A-Rod's talent, not the man.

Just like I respect Jeter, Bernie, Tino, Matsui, Sierra and Mo. I hate them when they dawn the jersey. All part of the rivalry :)

Fair enough. but i find it hard to believe that you guys would ride him this hard if he was on the Sox, and was just as much of an *******.

Personally, and obviously i dont know him well, i dont think hes an *******, granted the Arroyo play was Busch, but i see the point that he and Torre made that "he was doing anything possible", because had it not been reversed we probably would have won that game (i believe at least), but anyways...he does so muich s*** for charities, especially the Boys and Girls club. Hes very gracious to the fans, and represents himself well. but on the other hand, someone I know who plays in the Angels system (not gonna mention names) said that when Bret Prinz got traded to the Angels in Spring Training, he was talking about how much of an ******* A-Rod is, he said things like "he thinks hes the best player ever to play the game", "he thinks he runs s*** over there" "A-Rod isnt anything in that clubhouse, Jeter runs the show there", and things of that nature, so in all honesty I cant deny tht hes an ******* based on what Prinz said.

he likes to pump jeter on thursdays and sundays.

LMFAO. i love jeter and everything but i crack up when i think of them two. i still think aord makes him his bitch. but then sheff comes along and makes Alex his bitch, its like a never ending chain! so sad.

So why dont you guys just f***ingg lay off him because we all know if he was in Red Socks right now it would be a f***ing A-Rod lovefest in here.

from who? i cant stand him. u might like him b/c he's on the yankees, but i knw plenty of die hard yanks fans that dont even like him. so just because he's would have been on our team doesnt mean we'd like him. i mean yea, he's good, but he isn't the end all, be all. him and his fake dominican ass. i just wish he would shut up! put his ass on mute or cut out his voicebox and let him sit in a corner, and id be ecstatic with arod. and for christs sake, get the man some chapstick!

i think he lost the game for you with that play. so ya i feel if the call hadnt been reveersed that the yanks might have won. as for him doing s*** for charities... there are a s*** load of players that do things for charities, but none of them need camera crews and gigantic checks to donate. Alex, always has some kind of conference when he donates money and stuff. ya he's still donating, but he's getting his name out there more, trying to prove something to ppl.

and he does s*** for the fans? i visited my freidn in may in seattle and we went to the yanks/mariners series and let me tell you, he didnt wave or look at fans that were calling his name, nothihg. and it disgusted me more when there was a kid on the fielld in a wheel chair, what did he do he walked over said hi and walked away. jeter was over there signing s***, laughing, joking, and stuff. so ya, he does a lot for the fans. he dont give a f*** about the fans. i called him a bitch loud and clear b4 the games and his ass gave me dirty looks. so f*** him and the horse he rode in on.

you think he reps himself well? i don't. he still fully endorses that ******** play from game 6! and ask him about the fight the only remorse he feels is that he has a kid, NOW. it didnt bother him much when shim was preggers, but now that they have their big headed child (which is cute, but has a big ass head!) he feels some sort of remorse. ya thats carrying himself realy well, full of class!

ok, the end

most of the Yankee fans who dont like A-Rod dont like him because they are still convinced hes trying to take Jeters job.

Its odd all the disrespect Alex takes now that hes with the Yankees, not just from Sox fans, but from Yankee fans and other fans as well. Remember when he was in Texas, people were arguing about how much better he is than Bonds and how hes the best player in the game now and one of the best of all time. Now because he didnt have a Ruthian year last year (he only had a really good year, granted his numbers with RISP were bad) hes not even in that conversation...this guy is still the best player in the game (forget about last year, he had a so so year back in 2001, his first year in texas, then went on to have MVP years every year after that, hes just the kind of guy who needs a year to adjust, and thats appearant this year as hes putting up MVP numbers) and hes treated so unfairly, he was never treated like this before.

i never said he wasnt good player. no matter how much u hate him or whatever u havce to respect his skills. and i respect his skills, just not him.

and i think people are over him "taking jeter's spot". lets face it, he will never take jeters spot.

u think hes treated unfairly by sox fans and yankee fans? wow u have to hear the boo's at safeco field!!!!!! wow they are deafening.

Yea the boos in texas are kinda loud. lol. but i still think the boos are twice as loud in seattle. or maybe it was just cuz i was there..lol

Cards have pitching this year! Carpenter's healthy (first to 14 wins), Mulder and Morris and Izzy's been solid. Oh re-match should be much more competitive!

Trash talk is a part of sports; definitely part of this rivalry. Athletes aren't known to be well-versed, and unless they say something that is extremely inflammatory - racially, religiously, sexually degrading or something along those lines (*cough* John Rocker), I'd take it with a grain of salt. Or a full Morton can at times. When it rains, it pours.

It's good you accept that fact that the Sox are going back to the World Series this year.

*smiles* Uh-huh...didn't go as far as to say WIN, did I? ;)

Busch Stadium locker room walls are still not dry from that last year's champagne. Before moving out, restitution will be made!

Read it again buddy, it was about LAST OCTOBER!!! "It's just a fact that A-Rod will be a champion"....HOW SO????? He hasn't won yet, what makes it a fact...because hes a Yankee??? Well, I know how you Yankee fans feel, "It's our God given right to be in the World Series every year and we can talk s*** all we want because we always win" I hate to break it to you but just because hes a Yankee DOES NOT mean hes a "guaranteed champion"!!! And until he stops slapping baseballs out of players gloves and actually wins a playoff game correctly, shut your mouth and go back to New York

Since nothing is guaranteed in life, maybe I shouldn't have been so bold in my statement. But, yes, because he's a Yankeee there's a 99.9 % chance he'll get a ring with them. It's not the Yankess God given right to be in the sries every year, it just works out that way most of the time, lately. Yeah, that was a chickens**t move, when he slapped the ball out of the glove. But that sure beats your former goon, Pedro, head-hunting every Yankee he saw. AROD's move was inexcusable, but so is intentionally doing something that can kill someone. And save your Red Sox logic that Pedro's gone, so that doesn't natter anymore. Just remember the Yanks will buy whoever they need to win, and if it doesn't work out short term, they will buy more. And that's not bad for baseball. It's smart business. The Dodgers and the Braves have high payrolls, but they obviously don't have the spirit of the mighty Yankees. By the way, the Red Sox have had a pretty large payroll over the years. Last year it finally paid off. It probably won't again.

Pedro is not a goon. He's not a head hunter. He's a great pitcher. When he thinks someone doesn't respect him he makes them respect him by throwing inside. If you're going to talk about a head hunter why don't you look at your ex-boy the Rocket. He doesn't just throw balls at people ... he throws bats.

Posted
The Rocket I respect for everything he's accomplished in his career. Do remember, in 2003, we DID applaud him in his last regular season game at Fenway because it could have been his last, but he did pitch again in the ALCS. When you have to be smart and just respect someone's accomplishments it's different.

Prove it.

Not only will I say he won't get one this year, he won't get one in the next 5 years either. The Yankees have crippled themselves with bloated contracts that last too many years. They can't go out and trade for anyone without selling thier farm system. I can't say what the Yankees will do beyond 5 years from now, but I would bet the house they wont win one in 5 years.

What farm system? They sold that years ago.

According to you guys A-Rod can't win. If he says something against a team your saying he is just trying to stir something up and should just shut up and play the games, but if he says something good about someone on another team you believe there is a deeper meaning behind it. So what do you want him to do?! If you have a problem with everything he says then just don't listen. He was only trying to complement Ortiz!

I totally agree with you! I wish all these pissheads would get off Alex's back. They don't know the man, therefor they can not assume to know what he means when he says something. Still any moron would understand that Alex was paying Ortiz a complement. You Alex bashers are just jealous cuz he's got it and you don't.

ROCK ON ALEX! YOU DESERVE EVERYTHING YOU HAVE AND MORE!!!

I have heard compliments from that man, (about Jeter, Torre, etc. etc. etc.) Point is, THAT was not a compliment :thumbdown

Wow, that sure was an intelligent comment to make. Seriously, what is with insulting people's sexuality? :thumbdown

Err...ok, I kinda forgot what this huge thread was all about...bash A-Rod, yeah ok. The team is dysfunctional enough withOUT his added mouth, would appreciate if he and Sheff just shut up, drive home 4 runs-per-night, then Yankee fans can call-out the other players on the team. STEP IT UP! *sighs* ;)

Hammer, Hammer, Hammer. No doubt about it, Pedro is a great pitcher. But he sure seemed to have a special radar for Yankee heads. As for Clemens, I don't know, but I can only assume he learned his head-hunting ways while he was on the Red Sox. :D But yeah, he often overstepped his boundaries. And honestly, I still don't know what the f**k he was thinking when he threw that bat at Piazza.
