Im actually surprised no one mentione that a guy who cant NAME the third base coach shouldnt be talking about getting RID of the third base coach.

Dale Sveum.

FYI:

I know his name. Even if I don't it will take me few seconds to get it!

I did not want to mention his name because I disliked him last year, I still dislike him this year, and he is one of the reasons I dislike Tito.

Also, He was a Yankee player and a big Yankee fan for a while.

If you read a post just to criticize it, you will make wrong conclusions.

You jackass, throw out all the reasons in the world... Tito brang Sox fans a World Series in his first year as a Sox manager. In the toughest town to play baseball in, he did it. Show some thanks.

Yeah, he's such a big Yankee fan that he nearly climaxed celebrating Mueller's walk-off against Rivera last July.

I don't know, I'm still undecided on Francona. I will say this, though -- having won us a World Series last year does nothing towards getting us another this year and frankly, I want some more Championships. I just don't think he's that good of a manager.

Ok, does ANYONE but me find it awesome that someone named "HumongousErection" managed to use the word "climax" in his post. Sweet. :D

I'm sorry, someone wants MILLAR to play 2nd?? Are you retarded?? MILLAR can barely play 1st and 2nd is significantly harder.

I disagree that playing 2nd is that hard.

Anyway when 1st base is unoccupied the 1st baseman’s position is almost half way between 1st and 2nd. When 1st base is occupied the 2nd baseman moves to (almost) that position, and instead of receiving the ball he delivers it either to 1st or to 2nd. Infielders do not run as much as outfielders do!

If Youkilis could play at 2nd and 3rd don’t tell me Millar cant play at 2nd!

I am not saying Millar should be the second baseman, I am just suggesting that he could replace Bellhorn late in the game. Olerud should be the 1st baseman.

The other issue: The reason I said Renteria should bat 6th is to take some pressure off him until he is comfortable playing at Fenway. Making him bat 2nd with Ortiz, and Ramirez coming to bat after him in Fenway Park is too much pressure to handle. I suspect this is the reason why he is not batting as well as he used to be.

Renteria is comfortable at Fenway, do you not see the way he is hitting now? And the reason people get so mad at Bellhorn is because everything else besides the bullpen is doing fine... some Sox fans have to complain about something and right now Bellhorn and the bullpen is about all that isn't doing so great.

Yeah, second base isn't hard. It's just shortstop with a few less balls hit to you a week. I'm sure Millar would be great at turning the double play, too. Or covering second on steal attempts.

Let's put Manny in center because it's not that far away from left field.

i watched a nesn pre-game report asking several emails from the mail bag to nick frede and he was aksed about the current slump bellhorn was having that got his average to .220... and he had said that indeed several times each week during batting practices some of his teammates and papa jack have been working with him on his stance and everything, id say its working out so far. beginning of sesaon its been mainly each game one K or more, now hes been toning it down in past week. Plus of course better contact with the ball

Hahahahaa! Oh...you're not joking. I see.

And yes, on forums, you're entitled to your opinions, but this is just ridiculous. You only have to watch one game to realize that Millar can never play any other infield position.

*Bangs head against keyboard* Oh my god just leave now you clearly have no knowledge of anything baseball.

   Love the sarcasm "Boner"!!!! You dont mind if I call you Boner do you?

Joe, buddy, listen. Go find a busy highway (95, or even the Mass Pike.) and play Frogger "Real Life". Your making my head hurt.

MILAR PLAYS FIRST, end of story. That is why Tito is the manager and not some "meatball" like yourself.

If theres one thing I like to pride myself in as a Red Sox fan is LOYALTY. Terry Francona has earned my trust and loyalty. I will defend him like I would defend my own family. If you dont like the criticism (which is an integral part of Chat Forums) then do us all a favor and skidaddle. Yeah thats right I said SKIDADDLE!!!!!

joe joe joe, please dont tell me youve played baseball before. because thats what its sounding like, i want you to write an email to jerry remy or don orsillo, then report back to us what they thought of your idea

I sort of feel bad for Joe, but the most hilarious thing he said was that Millar should replace Bellhorn LATE IN GAMES.... when defense is the most important thing. That's why Olerud (and Mientkiewicz last year) come in to replace fatass Millar late in important games-- because he can't play defense!!!!!

Besides-- Bellhorn contributes more offensively ANYWAY.
