i do believe that by our boys beatin the yanks in such dramatic fashion 4 games in a row with the longest baseball games ive had to watch in my lifetime thus far, then goin to sweep the cardinals that in fact the curse has drifted over to the team the sox really had to beat to get the big win. Like in The Grudge, curses never die. well think about it, they have a $200 million roster and the board that decides what teams they have to face, just handed over to them leniant teams at best in the first half like the royals, brewers, facing off tampa bay 8 times, and big portion are home games. And now theyre sliding to 4th place. This time last year red sox was in second place behind the yankees 6.5 games. These hot prospect pitchers they signed in december are performing sub-par than they did last season. And mets are about to give the yanks their 4th straight loss. Thats just my take on it tho...

I like to think of it as the Curse of ARod. I don't even mind ARod that much, but it was too much that the Sox and Yankees got into a bidding war with them for one guy who would have totally changed the face of the team that eventually won the WS. It is a beautiful thing!

true he did make that fateful play that has boston even more booing in him, gettin him ejected as he did that cheating way of slappin the ball out of arroyo's hands. they did better than they are right noe last season, so i think its now a mix of arod's curse and curse of the bambino is lingering around the house that ruth built

It's funny to hear others say this. When we where in the midst of picking up A-Rod I was yelling NOOOOOOOOOOO please please don't get him he's a curse!

he's a egomanical cancer, and when his team's go badly his numbers get better, and when they win he never has a role. I cant quite figure him out but the bottom line is he destroy's team's he plays with and I cant even picture what life would have been like with him here. all he cares about is alice and I'm glad he's on the yankees and I hope his cancer spreads and spreads.

In the meantime things feel great being a sox fan....even alan and bellhorn feel right--and since millar isnt playing I personally couldnt ask for more.

let's go wellsie!!

nothing wrong with millar, since end of may/june he is has been getting better with hits ans RBI's, only reason hes not playing right now cuz of the interleague games have ortiz at first, they might have him sub in for tro todays game like they did before

upset for me if millar doesnt get sox resigned at the end of the year, but im betting its a big chance theyll look to hold onto him as their 1st baseman, sure olerud is a good player he is about to turn 37 this year though, Olerud as backup and pinch hitter is a great fit for the sox. Mueller im thinking 50/50, he as at most 2 years best, think they should start splitting up more of the time between him and youkilis

If you read in their message board they sound like they never won anything. Typical ny fan. Their savior for this year looks pretty old right now. He's a unit alright. I hope he gets creamed tonight. Nothing finer (other than a Sox win) than a yankee loss and to the mets to boot. steinbrenner will behead someone soon. Ah...you got to love it.

omg he was trying to act like the tough guy, hes the man kinda act, spitting into his gloves before grabbing hold of the bat--lol I always remember the scowl he was making when the sox won the pennant, the only one left in the yankees dugout walking back and forth lookin at the sox celebrating

First of all there was no curse. If there was you guys would have never have won ast year. The Curse was made up by disapointed Red Sox fans because the Sox had the Atlanta Braves syndrome they choked in the playoffs. If it was a curse then curses don't just say well they suffred enough will lift the curse. I think maybe the owner sold his soul the the devil. Just kidding. The Cubs will win the world series again in the future and all this curse s*** will be long gone. The only reason most Yankees fans bring up the curse because we knew you guys beleived it. Now I'm not niave to say some Yanks fans did'nt beleive in t because they did. But, most fans didn't. I know I'm gonna get s*** for this too, but A-rod is not gay have youseen his wife se's f***ing hot. He's a great baseball player and all of you that say your glad he's not your team is dumb and only make fun of him because he's a Yank. He's not a cancer if anyone is a cancer its Schill and I would still like him on my team.

ok dude i dont like him because first of all he tried to take on varitek, lets face it varitek is much bigger in comparison and easily steamroll him. nother reason why i dont like him, last october that friggin cheating move he thought he could get away with by slapping the ball out of bronson's glove

he didn't cheat he did what he could to help the Yanks win. If he would've knocked Arroyo on his prissy little ass and knocked the ball out he would have been safe. I have no problem in what he did I just had a problem with him acting like he didn't do it. he should have just walked back to the dugout. And jeter should have went to 2nd but that's in the past now just like this stupid curse thing because like it or not the Red Soxare just an average run of the mill baseball team just like 28 other teams. Now as soon as the 2 chicago clubs win we can put all of this stupid nonsense behind us.

What a dumb statement. Yes had they not called him out it would have helped his team, thats what cheating is, it helps your team win that doesn't make it not cheating he still broke the rules. he couldn't have knocked Arroyo on his ass because Arroyo was just trying to tag him from his side. Had he tried to bowl over Arroyo he would have been called out for running out of baseline.

You don't care that he tried to do it jsut how he reacted? That's an even dumber statement. A-Rod a member of the New York Yankees blatantly tried to cheat by doing probably what is one of the bitchiest moves I have ever seen in my entire life. That is a blemish on him, his team, and the enrie Organization. He should try to help his team by cheating? No what a real man does is accept that he has been defeated taken the out and sit on the bench where he should be.

I like to observe Yankee banter on their own message boards. The kind of crap and flaming and frantic frustration one can find over there these days is absolutely hilarious and extremely entertaining. :D

YES Network Yankee Boards

Of course I wouldn't go dare troll over there. Pure pleasure viewing entertainment only. :D
