Here's an update:
Curt Schilling will likely make his season debut on April 13 against the Yankees, the Boston Red Sox ace said Saturday after pitching the equivalent of 8 1-3 innings in a minor league intrasquad game.
Schilling allowed one run, four hits, struck out eight and walked two. He threw 88 pitches, 64 for strikes. In the seventh inning, Schilling got seven outs before stopping for the day.
"The 13th is the day I think that we're shooting for now," he said. "I'm assuming that I can come off (the disabled list) right around then, and that's when I'll be ready to go."
Miller update:
"I don't think it's going to take that long," he said. "I'm just trying to iron some things out in my delivery." Miller said he thinks he could join the Red Sox during the last week of April.
"That's what I'm hoping for," he said.
