    And you are wrong. Cuz we have good SP, good closer and a modicum of hitting and we stink. You got the team you wanted. Only a little hitting but a ton of pitching. This is the team of Joe Bradys dreams. And thats why you were still saying its early until like a week ago.

    But there is a ton more year to year randomness with pitching and you can improve pitching as the year goes by and you can scrap together a pitching staff. Also, you need to be rock solid in both pitching (starting) and pitching (relief) AND defense to have a good run differential that is driven by run prevention. Frankly, its just easier and more consistent to improve your run differential by increasing your offense vs having to have lights out SP, RP, AND defense.

    Narvaez was bad in the second half of the year last year, and his extremely impressive breakout came in a season like age 26/27 that feels fluky especially because and was even more fluky by feel because he didnt end the year hot. Story had missed 4 of the last 5 years entering this one. Anthony was age 21. These are not guys who you count on to be your primary offensive providers, or if you do, its not really fair to be like so unforeseen who coulda known when your offense stinks. And its not a surprise. We were ranked a near bottom 10 offense going into this season and even Breslow said "we are going to win with pitching and defense!" And we arent winning with pitching and defense.

    What Breslow said to Whitlock and Story after Cora was fired should get any "leader" fired.

    Its clearly both of them. Devers is stubborn and entitled, Breslow has never met a situation he cant make worse.

    In 2013 our co-aces, lackey and lester were both good , not great and in 2018 sale was great, but behind him the staff was very meh. porcello was our #3.

    the best football players are failed basketball players. the nhl just now discovered the triangle offense. nba is just always one step in front. Brad Stevens would clean up the sox in one offseason.

    breslow is a clown, even theo knows it. Talking about getting him a translator? what even is that? Last year I was like this dude cant talk to ppl....and you were like yeah, but record....and i was like sure, i guess. Ill concede. Even if he rubs me the wrong way if his teams are winning i guess that cures all....but now that excuse is gone....and part of the reason we stink is becasue hes the relationship ruiner and apparent cant human well..... and im just saying, can we be out of excuses and call him a failure.....im not worried who replaces him. get a basketball guy.

    yeah, im not saying 0 emphasis on pitching and defense....Im just saying that its not surprising to me that a team that is 15/15 in hitting, top 5 in pitching, top 5 in fielding....makes us a bad team..... I dont disagree with the historical context of ignoring pitching too long under other regimes, but i dont think its a valid reason to spare breslow. I think breslow should have been fired the day he asked ownership to fire cora...or the day he told whitlock that whitlock is not allowed to ask questions , he only has to pitch and keep his mouth shut....

    maybe dont ignore hitting, gleefully proclaim its a pitching and defense team, and then sink like a rock because of the philosophical decision he made....oh, and his ego cost the team a slew of good relationships. Breslow is a distinctly awful CBO.

    1. He can say there were no quality options available in the middle of the season, and he deserves anotehr chance with a real mlb manager who isnt cora 2. Cora was the most likely next CBO, so he axed his successor, thats why he didnt keep cora
