Maybe Peaz takes a leap this year, but his ceiling is bullpen arm to me.

I have been lucky enough to see A Castro and Brannon live. I like both as hitters and think they have above bat to ball skills. (Keep in mind, small sample size) I did not see anything that makes me think they are above average defensively (again small sample size) A Castro is more of a line drive hitter. Brannon has some power, but is injured more than Chris sale.

If the budget is indeed 200 million, then we have a little tiny bit more to cut. This means trades are needed. Is bres-slow waiting for spring training injuries on other teams to unclog our outfield and find a starter or two?

By July, we could be 20 games out of playoff contention. What assets do we have that we could get some value on the trade market? Jansen? Martin? O’Neil? Pivetta? Gioletta? Brez-slow could have a long year ahead of him!

Story’s 2023 defense was better then average????

Defensively: Catcher - Wong and McGuire - maybe just below average to average at best! 1st base - cassas - at best dumpster fire. 2nd base - Grissom - impossible to know. But best case could be average SS - story - maybe average to a little better than average. 3rd base - devers - dumpster fire LF - Duran - dumpster fire bring marshmallows. CF - rafeala - best guess is average to above average RF - abreau - best guess is average. Our starting pitching is a massive dumpster fire, if our defense gives teams extra outs, we are battling for the first pick in the draft!!!!!!!!

So the payroll sits at about 201 million right now. Some people think the max budget is 200 million. Is they are correct, then this is our team for 2024!

We have a surplus of DH/poor defensive players. Might as well move one or two for pitchers.

After the tragedy with the catcher. We seem to have shifted strategy and gone from pursuing one highly ranked signing and a couple lower ranked signings to a bunch of lower ranked signings
