  1. Maybe, but the value of prospects is always super high and prospects are a ready made trade commodity!
  2. We should always be in some form of rebuild mode! The dodgers went after two of our prospects at the trade deadline, because they understand how to deal from a surplus ! We may or may not have a surplus of outfielders! At the end of the day, the smart organizations know that sustainability runs through the farm system, and how to feast on the desperation of teams without a proper structure and organization plan!!!!
  3. Ben says skenes will be a pirate in 2026! no word on Washington’s plans regarding McKenzie gore yet!
  4. The royals have 2 prospects that I would love for us to have. the first is Carter Jensen, a catcher that I think played in kc in September. Can hit the ball some!! Not sure about the defense. the second is David shield, a pitcher. Not a huge power arm like Tolle. But could develop into a mid 90’s guy with control and secondaries!
  5. Dobbins says he will be 100 percent ready to compete for spring training. not sure the Red Sox trainers agree, but I like his positive attitude
  6. Cora says story is the 2026 shortstop. are we trying to bring back Bregman?
  7. Maybe the Sox want to try to sign giolita to a multi year deal at a lower rate? or maybe the Sox saw something in his medical and just want to cut bait
  8. I thought most of the best reporters got their “insider information” from the agents???
  9. I do not know about that per se. but computer number scouting seems to be all the rage now! I think we just hired a bunch of hitting and fielding coaches for 2026!
  10. Brad Keller is another option! Not sure he fits the bres-slow and Bailey profile, but he gets batters out!!
  11. Maybe we bring back kopech and see if there is anything there that can help us
  12. Agreed! I think Atlanta has interest in him
  13. Hamilton is due a bounce back year! Maybe we hang onto him in 2026 and hope for that bounce back year! Of course, hope is never a good strategy sogard has that underdog mentality and clutch hit gene! Everybody likes a good underdog! conclusion: I think Hamilton is perfect for the Atlanta braves as part of a trade package for chris frail sale!!!
  14. Because Henry does not have the financial resources to compete with cohen!!! (And there is no shame in that by the way.)
  15. The smart owners should be cautious. Steve cohen however, will not care 1 way or the other!!! smart owners will put more resources into their farm system and less on free agents!! Steve cohen will put more resources into his farm system and spend like crazy on free agents
  16. Didn’t he get a qualifying offer?
  17. Have you seen who owns the Mets ??? Henry is not going to be competitive!!!!
  18. And what happens to Detroit in 2027 once the Mets sign skubal to a 650 million dollar contract after the 2026 season?? or do you try to get the best package for skubal now or at the July 2026 trade deadline????
  19. Tolle, early, dobbins, Fitts, drohan, and uberstine all with time in Boston or Worcester. I guess last year proved we can never have enough depth when it comes to pitchers!
  20. Bres-slow and Cora both mentioned improving the defensive play in 2026! We shall see how they plan to do that
  21. Most writers say that bres-slow and Bailey value strike out % pitchers and the two names mentioned most frequently, Ryan and Greene have the same type strike out % as giolita had when we signed him.
  22. We have more than enough talent we can trade for a quality number 2 rotation piece!!! crochet was a expensive acquisition. Well worth it though. but doing another trade like that for a young superstar starting pitcher is going to be difficult! Not to mention the cost of an extension!! I believe we should trade for a veteran starter on an expiring contract and use them to give Tolle, dobbins, Fitts, drohan, uberstine, Mullins, and especially Witherspoon time to improve command and control while tightening up the secondary pitches!! part 2 is to continue to trade excess pieces for young prospect pitching and waiting to see if it develops, farharko, Jose bello and Holobetz are excellent examples of this strategy!!!
  23. We have some exciting arms coming up through the farm system. No idea if will make it to Boston, but I can say with 100 percent accuracy, they all have better stuff than Criswell
