  1. I agree 100%. It would be interesting to know what the doctor’s think about his ankle.
  2. Stanton has to realize that accepting a trade to St. Louis is going to increase his national exposure and as a member of a playoff race increase the pressure and the excitement. All pay being the same, winning always trumps losing.
  3. How does the new coaching staff compare to the prior staff? Seems to be like we took a step forward with the hitting coach. Neutral on the pitching coach and a step backwards for all other coaches.
  4. Seems very light in the pitching going to Miami column.
  5. Do you really think price will be healthy enough to pitch in 2018?
  6. In my mind, I am ok going into next season with Travis as 1/2 of a platoon situation at first base, as long as whoever we sign has some power and allows us to have a lefty - righty platoon at the plate.
  7. Based on others who have had micro fracture surgery, I doubt he returns in less than six months, but not longer than nine months, unless he has a setback, The real question is will his knee be able to handle the torque generated by his swing over the course of a full season?
  8. Just curious how you felt a few years ago when Ben signed victorino?
  9. Miami needs pitching! St. Louis has pitching. Square peg - square hole!
  10. It would be interesting to see if bannister can do anything with shields. I know shields arm is about to fall off, and his pitches lack anything resembling movement, but if he can keep the ball down in the strike zone, we might be able to get a serviceable year out of him.
  11. If Stanton and Martinez fall through, I think we need to look at either Ethier (if he is healthy) or Granderson as our 4th outfielder. I am still not convinced Brentz can hit major league pitching. But I know those two guys can.
  12. Has jeter ever publically states who besides Stanton is on the trading block?
  13. This is the direction I see desperate Dave going. He is going to back up the Brinks truck and throw in a sixth year.
  14. Someone is going to over spend for Santana, normally i’d say that is desperate dave’s M.O., but I think desperate Dave is putting all his chips on Martinez. Ps: I still think desperate Dave should be going all in on ohtani instead.
  15. I still think trading with Atlanta for Adams makes sense. He would not cost much of a prospect and he can mash when he is right.
  16. Maybe he is a closet yankee fan!
  17. In case you have not noticed, bad over pays is the desperate dave way!
  18. Or extremely enthusiastic about in house options!
  19. Maybe if you throw in Rodriguez and Groome as well,
  20. These guys aren’t dumb? Didn’t desperate dave just go into a Season thinking Pablo could handle 3rd base for us?????
  21. I agree! And I would add, his poor defensive range causes our pitchers to go hard for the strike out as opposed to pitching for ground balls. Unfortunately the pitchers arms are burnt by the end of August!
  22. Or wait until 2019 and go balls out for Harper or machado! Ps; at least if machado is on our team, he is less likely to beat up and/or injure banana boy pedroia!
  23. I think whoever offers JD a six year deal could be the winner! And I see desperate dave going there faster than slick Willie Clinton on an ugly woman! As for first base: What would it take via trade to pry Adams out of Atlanta?
  24. Is Larussa going to be the Cora whisperer? I can not figure out what he brings to the table???
