Maybe it is because he missed so much spring training, but Kimbrel’s fastball is flat and grabs a lot of plate. Hopefully he gets sharper because I am sick of losing games because of him. Ps: Scott is looking good at Pawtucket. Time to swap him and Johnson.

Sturgeon with another tater today. That little guy now has 5 this season! What???? Also our Pawtucket Betts got a tater as well.

Kimbrel throws a meatball and it gets whacked! Who would have thunk it!

Any decent closers we can trade for this July? I think Kimbrel blows town for big money and we need a replacement.

I agree. He is executing his pitches and getting hitters out.

That is true, teams go through rough patches. But our pitchers are not executing their pitches like they were earlier in the year. This needs to change if we are going win games. We can not out hit the opposition every game.

I have been very impressed by beeks and mata on the young season.

Our pitching needs to buckle down nd execute pitches like they were earlier in the year.

Beeks had a no hitter through 5, then ran into bad luck in the 6th. Still finished with 11 k’s.

Do we need another lefty in the bullpen?
  11. Larry Cook
Sale’s stuff was kind of bland tonight. Not a lot of movement on the fastball.
  12. Larry Cook
Mata with 4 innings of one hit ball tonight. Him and beeks have been impressive on the mound thus far this young season.
  13. Larry Cook
Rodriguez is starting to become the pitcher we all thought he could be. Betts is amazing!
  14. Larry Cook
Kemp with a tater tonight for Salem. Houck had his best outing of the year tonight.
  15. Larry Cook
Bogey with a tater tonight for Pawtucket. Crawford was wonderful for greenville tonight!
  16. Larry Cook
This team has lost all their confidence since the no-no. If only we had a leader in the locker room to snap these guys out of it.

Not a great night for schreff. Beeks on the other hand, is looking like a beast.
  18. Larry Cook
Manea is throwing bee bee’s out there.
  19. Larry Cook
Bradley with a three run tater tonight! He just keeps contributing.

Why not just keep pedroia on the dl for the rest of his contract. We got a good thing going and he has a history of being a turd in the punch bowl.
  21. Larry Cook
Sadly houck is struggling with control thus far this young season and he is a college pitcher from the best conference in college baseball - the sec.
  22. Larry Cook
Velazquez is earning a spot on this team!
  23. Larry Cook
Dalbec with another tater tonight. He may be hitting well under 200, but he does have 4 taters thus far this season!
  24. Larry Cook
Cole sturgeon with his third tater on the season. Now hitting over 400.
  25. Larry Cook
I firmly believe that our pitchers attacking opposing hitters more aggressively with Bradley patrolling center fielder, just because they are 100 percent confident that he has their back.
