    Kimbrel was not sharp tonight. Rays got some realky hittable pitches, fortunately for Kimbrel most rays are not major league hitters.

    Logan Gilbert, Rhp from Stetson Could work for us as well in this draft. He is 6’5” and throws in th low 90’s. Fastball and change up are plus pitches. Not sure what the breaking ball is, but I guess it could be a slider. He was the Atlantic sun conference player of the year as a sophomore. Then pitched really well in cape cod. Ps: Stetson produced kluber and de grom, so why not try and catch lightening in a bottle for a third time?

    When pedroia comes back, one option is to put Nunez on the dl. Thornburg should not be allowed anywhere near the Boston locker room until he can throw at something near major league level. What he throws now is not nearly good enough!

    Mata threw 5 innings today. Gabe up 1 run, but walked 3 batters. I love his ability to attack hitters, and I am hopeful his control improves.

    Houck went six innings tonight. Gave up one run and got the win.

    Cole Wilcox is a high school right handed pitcher that seems to fit the Sox model. He is tall at 6’4” or so and has a fastball that sits 92-93. The fastball has some downward motion and does not sit in one plane. We do seem to have a scout in the southeast that likes Georgia kids.

    Ever since ESPN was caught red handed creating fake news in the deflate gate scandal, they have gone out of their way to anti Boston everything. They are just a sad and pathetic organization!

    Benintendi is handling the secondary offering much better than a month ago. He seems to have figured out how they are pitching him.

    Left handed pitcher Ryan Rolison from ole miss would be a huge win if he falls to us in the first round,

    Saw some of pedroia’s swings At Pawtucket and he seemed to be turning on pitches really well with no problems from the knee.

    Makes me wonder what would could have been if desperate Dave had not run off all th kids from the baseball operations department. Now we are left with a guy that does not listen to his scouts and does not have a plan for the short, intermediate or long term. I wonder what ownership thinks?

    What a game mr. tingles threw tonight! Where was this pitcher earlier in May?

    Betts is a special player, but if your lead off hitter is getting on base, hitting taters and making things happen, you have a great chance to win those games (if your pitching is good.) if your lead off hitter hangs an “oh fer” on you, chances are your winning percentage is those games will be considerably lower. It doesn’t matter if that lead off hitter is Betts or anybody else.

    Kimbrel’s pitches are grabbing a lot of plate lately. Not sure he is mechanical right at this time.

    Watching my Vazquez and Leon contribute minimal offense game in and game out is so frustrating. Swihart’s timing is off due to lack of regular at bats. But I think he can hit. So we need to put him behind the plate for a few games and if he hits, we send Leon to the twins.

    Benintendi has a really tight swing, it really is just a matter of time until he is a .290 plus hitter.

    The bottom third of our roster is really not producing much.
