  1. Good news today: tremendous offense and tremendous pitching. Bad news today: time to head out west!
  2. Good news today: back and fourth game with the bullpen having a monster game! Martinez on base 4 times today. Bad news today: pivetta served up a lot of meatballs today!
  3. Good news today; offense showed guts and came back from 4 runs down! Bullpen shut them down! Bad news today: devers in the second slot?
  4. I think there have a few others like this. Bottom line is most every game has good and bad. I’m just commenting on both sides of the same coin.
  5. We currently have 6 questionable players on the roster: Andriese Rios Santana Marwin Wong Chavis We have three shaky players: Richards Dalbec Hernandez We have some players coming off the dl: Sale Arroyo Pawlieki Brazier Interesting decisions ahead for hang’em Chaim!
  6. Good news today: we really played a complete game and Rodriguez threw a nice game. Bad news today: too bad this was not a four game series!
  7. Earlier in the season, Martinez bat speed was outstanding. Since the middle of may or so, his bat speed looks slower and he has not been as deadly.
  8. After the first 3 games of this season, many were in full melt down mode!
  9. Good news today: great win! Bogey is a beast. Renfro is on fire. Bad news today: sawumuru couldn’t find the plate with a telescope!
  10. Not everybody can be a 162 game hit machine. Some guys need time to work through issues. Hopefully when they figure it out, the reward was worth the patience!
  11. Would Cleveland take him back for a bag of used baseballs?
  12. The reds are a game over .500 and have a terrible back end to their bullpen. Only 4 games from first place. Their two corner outfielders are playing lights out, but depth looks a little thin! Maybe we send Barnes and Cordero to the reds for minor leaguer pitcher Bryce bonin!
  13. Isn’t he up to 11 outfield assists? I think we are among the league leaders in outfield assists.
  14. In the words of Toby Mac, “help is on the way!” Sale still looking pretty good in his recovery. Do not know what we can expect from him, but even if 90 percent of his pre injury self, that is better than some of the starters we got now.
  15. No doubt hang’em Chaim has had a great off season. No one, except Ben’s one amazing offseason, ever hits on all his signings. But hang’em Chaim has really come close. What is truly incredible is about two years after taking control, hang’em Chaim has improved the on field product for both the major league team and minor league system.
  16. What had scouts concerned about rocker’s other pitches is there are a lot of mechanical flaws that someone will need to clean up. If they get that cleaned up and he learns how to get late movement on his fastball, then he will be a beast!
  17. We are not a good team defensively either.
  18. When you want them pitch, it seems rocker does not generate many swings and misses. Leiter generates quite a few swings snd misses, he is definitely a guy that could move through the system fairly quickly.
  19. Good news today: we won the first game of the series again. Bad news today: two more losses to follow if we keep the trend going!
  20. And you think this because……
  21. Good news today: pivetta pitched a master piece! Bad news today: offense went into hibernation and we lost on a wild pitch!
  22. How likely is it that hang’em Chaim is a seller at the deadline? Our minor league pitching is so lean, it makes a toothpick look fat. Trading off major leaguers with value for quality pitching prospects makes a lot sense for long term success, but it sacrifices short term success.
  23. In order for the Sox to develop a decent pitcher, they are going to have to revamp the development process. Step 1: don’t send Stevie wonder and eat Charles to scout pitchers live. Step 2: hire real pitching coaches. Better yet steal the best minor league pitching coaches from other teams. Step 3: drafting guys with two good pitchers and hoping they can develop a change up is a terrible strategy.
