    This is the most important thing that bres-slow has to do! Balancing quantity and quality. the budget says we can only sign so many exceptional pitchers. having a fully stocked minor league system seems to be the best and most efficient way to build quality depth! I think bres-slow did a tremendous job of using the minor league system to deal with the incredible number of injuries we had in 2025! I think bres-slow had to rush guys like Tolle and early and I think think year he hopes to avoid that, if possible. the biggest thing for 27 and 28 are the pitchers with good to great stuff that got injured this year. (Valera specifically) those guys could be a huge boost to farm system depth in the future

    I like the idea of bringing both of these players back. didn’t matz say he prefers a chance to be a starter again? If matz had better strike out numbers, I think bres-slow would have tried to extended him in the regular season.

    Mets fans I met on line seem to think the problem is the Mets training staff and the program the trainers put together!!

    I think narveaz had a couple things going on last year! first. He hit the rookie wall from overuse! Second. He played through injury that required surgery I think.

    If we kick in some cash, yoshida is a slight improvement over some of the royals outfielders

    Would bres-slow have any interest in signing bassit? He may be a 5th starter, but his stuff is still decent!!

    It is not about how he did in 2025, it is a gamble to see how close he gets back to his previous form! most of the scouts think his stuff will tighten up in year 2 and have the sharp breaks it had previously

    With an average of 177 innings over the past three years, I am not worried about gray’s height. however I am worried that his fastball got hit pretty hard last year!

    Bres-slow said he was after a number 2 pitcher and a big bat! he has a number 2 pitcher in gray. he has prospects, Duran, hicks, yoshida and cutter as trade assets! the New York radio guys say he asked Texas about Corey seiger???? free agent bres-slow is linked to is realmuto. some believe Alonso may go unsigned and fall into our lap

    MLB ranked the top free agents. But did not list us as a player for Alonso.

    What is bres-slow’s game plan here? Why trade for a 1 and done pitcher? His last 3 trades have cost us a lot of prospects for 3 one and done pitchers???
