People in my area know I have been a die-hard Sox fan for MANY MANY years. I followed the team through the heartbreaks of 1975. 1986, 2003 and the many bad years. I rejoiced with you all after the 2004 WS and the others that followed. I will always credit John Henry for spending and doing what it took to give the Sox the best chance to win. I also recall the SEVERAL times Henry was quoted as saying he would do his best to insure the Sox could contend for a WS EVERY year. Now after several LAST PLACE finishes and reduced payroll commitment from an owner who seems to have lost his passion for the team I have also lost MY passion for the Red Sox. Spring training is supposed to be the time when HOPE SPRINGS ETERNAL but I can tell you that I don't feel that all. After listening to all the lies about going FULL THROTTLE from the FO the Red Sox IMO are today WORSE than the team that finished last in 2023. I will check in on occasion but I can tell that I won't be fully invested. Enjoy another last place finish Mr Henry !!!

Still too long. The ABSOLUTE max I sign him is 4 years at 25per and that won’t get it done. He is at BEST a #2 but probably more of a #3 going forward as he has a fair bit of miles on his wing. I’d rather for Snell after May 1st. He is a better P IMO

i do NOT want the Sox to sign Montgomery unless it is a short term deal which he is very unlikely to accept. At his age i would be very concerned with signing him to a 5-7 year deal.

Maybe if the Sox actually signed a decent FA we could have something to talk about rather than continuing to rehash Xander and Mookie leaving.

no chance in hell that Mayer should be traded for luzardo. tightwad Henry simply should have let Breslow sign a top FA SP. Now we need to give up our future SS for the next 6-8 yrs to acquire a top SP??? Give them Story and go with a BBB till Mayer is ready.

Keith Foulk was the best of these signings and gave the team all he had but they burned him out and his career was cut short
