    another reason i'm glad Cora was fired. if he, as the effing manager can't see that Devers was a s***** third-baseman and, even if he did, he should have had that "conversation". good gawd....it's his f***ing job. just unreal he never "sat him down and laid it out...".

    i'm ok with dealing Chappie if we keep Whitlock. and i still think they should try to extend Gray for 2-3 more years. clearly Crochet is of no use and a ticking time bomb for TJS. i wouldn't count on him to pitch even next year. Gray has been steady, averaging 160+ IP/year for the last 11 years and projects to at least that much this year. i would add that should he not be agreeable to a reasonable extension, they yeah...trade him for the prospects that never materialize.

    or maybe they need better scouts. i've met plenty of scouts over the years. and some of them i wouldn't trust to scout a little league team.

    i'm still puzzled how the Sox ever signed Masa. was there not anyone that actually went to Japan to watch him play? seriously? it almost strikes me as a situation where Bloom the uber-nerd just looked at his numbers and signed him from that rather than, you know.....actually watching him waddle around the field. yeah...we're so smart we don't need no stinkin' scouts. 😂
