  1. i think Breslow was inflexible, ergo, stiff. it wouldn't be that big a deal to me, but not signing him after losing Raffy for signing him in the first place is what sucks. and that wouldn't be so bad if they signed someone to replace him/Devers. so now, besides a black hole at second, we also have one at third. i wish they still had the both of them, but hey...what a shitshow.
  2. i think Bregman really wanted to stay. i think Cora really wanted him to stay. and i think Breslow f***ed it up.
  3. i think they're a bit high on Donovan and a bit light on Casas and Harrison. i'd do that deal, obviously.
  4. something is gonna hafta give or they'll keep buying World Series championships for here on.
  5. if Sandoval is so damn good....trade that SOB to the Astros for IP. or the Twins for Keaschall. or the Mets for Batty.
  6. i know i did. i wanted more pitching. the sad part is their scouting/ analytics sucked ass. getting 1 out of 400 is pretty bad.
  7. i find it ironic that we have a severe shortage of quality and depth at the middle infield when Bloom drafted like 400 shortstops during his time in Boston.
  8. another idiotic contract that should never have happened. why sign a guy to rehab for years, when you can get a player that can oh, i dunno, ACTUALLY PLAY A f***ING GAME!?! it's f***ing insane. i wonder who we could have signed for the millions pissed away on Sandoval and Hendricks.
  9. you forgot to mention that he traded Sale and Devers for a bag of peanuts. horrible trades.
  10. i've seen Keaschall play many times. he's the real deal. i'd love to see him in a Sox uni.
  11. without adding a "big bat", i'm afraid that our anemic offense will be exposed.for what it is. and for this, i would say Brez's offseason was/is a failure. Brez knew we needed some power going into the offseason. he could have signed Alonso, but he didn't. he could have signed Bregman, but he didn't. he could have signed Schwarber, but he didn't. he did a nice job of upgrading the pitching staff, but what good is it without some offensive production?
  12. i always got the idea that Bregman really wanted to stay with the Sox, but the f***ing stiff just couldn't get the deal done—because, well... he's a f***ing stiff.
  13. yeah, i wanted to find Ryan punching Ventura or Varitek and Arod but couldn't find a giph of either.
  14. the Dodgers payroll and tax for 2026 is $572M. that's $50M more than the Red Sox and Padres combined. their 2026 tax bill is more than the entire payroll of 12 teams.
  15. yeah, i know that. i'm thinking they may change, as Moon suggests, how it is calculated.
  16. i'd think so as well. what about deferrals? the Dodgers seem to be exploiting this for all they can get.
  17. seriously?? that's insane.
  18. no way. you're essentially giving up Duran for an unproven catcher that, IMHO, is somewhat overrated.
  19. notice i also said UPGRADING. Eaton, Hamilton and Romy are not upgrades.
  20. looks like he's done a good job with the pitching staff -replacing and upgrading as needed. but not so much with position players.
