  1. Sox are basically middle of the pack, regarding age, compared to the rest of the league. Yankee pitchers are old, but their hitters are even older.
  2. nobody says it's anything other than an opinion, conjecture, unverifiable theory, but you know it's true.
  3. a lot of reasons to be hopeful for the next several years for sure. though, i'm not sure about the farm. the recent graduation and trading of several top prospects leaves us with one player in the Top 250 -Franklin Arias.
  4. if it's based on WAR, we should definitely go back and give Ted Williams frozen head the FOUR MVP awards stolen from him and given to Yankee players.
  5. what MVP said. if Judge had put up those numbers with the Mariners and Raleigh had played his historic season with Yankees, you know Cal would have won. Judge is phenomenal, i know that, but no catcher in MLB history has done what Cal did.
  6. yeah...they should have given it to Cal last year. and i like Judge. just wish he played for another team.
  7. i watched a zillion AAA games last year so i knew what was coming. i have the idea that MLB umps were worried that the ABS would make them look bad, but from my perspective, the ABS has given me a whole new respect for umps working behind the plate. usually, when a call is missed, it's by a fraction of inch. and i don't think any less of them for that.
  8. i remember that. that was the season i became a Sox fan. i wouldn't bother penciling in either for the MVP, when half the clowns that vote already had Judge marked down before the season began.
  9. KC's extension was not a good move. and it was completely unnecessary. i said it from Day 1.
  10. yeah....that's it, everybody attack me for my criticism of the front office and my mis-remembererering of when he was signed. maybe one day i'll be perfect like the rest of you. i haven't given up on KC. not even a little. i just know that for a guy with 263 big league plate appearances, he has a lot less incentive to do better now that he has a big fat contract.
  11. whoever suggested they trade for May should be launched into the sun.
  12. i think it's hilarious. the geniuseseses in the Sox FO see this kid have a good year in AAA and one good month in MLB and can't wait to "lock him up" with some completely ridiculous (and unnecessary) contract. now he's buried on the depth chart and waiting on injuries to multiple players to even sniff a MLB ballpark again.
  13. Wong is the primary catcher for our #5 starter so we have to keep him. LOL.
  14. the entire team sucked ass today. nice job by Sale.
  15. nice to see Yoshida back in mid-season form, grounding out to second.
  16. wong can't even hit a little. in fact, he can't hit at all.
  17. we just see it different. you're happy with the bottom of the barrel, the worst of the worst. i'm looking for the cream of the crap. you know...someone that can actually hit the f***ing ball every now and then instead of like.....never.
  18. we should always be looking to upgrade. at every position. always. i know Wong catches Bello but there is no way there isn't someone we could get that's better. what if Narvaez goes down for an extended time? Wong's position in the batting order is a giant freakin' black hole.
  19. i truly don't understand the love for Wong. he absolutely sucks ass.
  20. enamored? no. over Wong? yes. his '25 OPS was nearly twice that of Wong's. hell....you could pick a random name out of a phone book that would probably do as well as Wong.
