  1. supposedly, the Dodgers have $100M coming off the books this winter. they'll sign Tucker. and anybody else they want. count on it.
  2. but....the Red Sox Payroll/Revenue is 23rd in the league at 42.1% The Colorado Rockies spend a higher percentage of their revenue on payroll than the tightwad POS you keep defending.
  3. my thoughts exactly! great minds and all that.
  4. give Cincy Grissom and all the garbage we got from the Devers trade. surely Devers and Sale are worth one injury-prone Hunter Greene.
  5. the Dodger$ did $pend a lot of ca$h to build thi$ team. and a$ you pointed out, they have the revenue to do $o. i found this Payroll/ Revenue chart on X. if you're looking for the RedSox, they're down near the bottom, despite the fact they have 4th highest revenue. i wonder what Henry does with the $332 million NOT spent on payroll??
  6. i certainly hope not. Gio did the internal brace rather than full TJS. i wouldn't doubt his year-end woes mean he's going to need full TJS this winter. his metrics were awful to boot. no way i'd re-sign him.
  7. i was saying the rehab pitchers never work out. Chapman was great. and i've said so many times. Bregman was great but he opted out and his signing basically caused us to lose Devers. so....maybe not such a great signing after all. Buehler was a the yearly John Henry Rehab Special and a horrible waste of money.
  8. they do it year after year after year after year. and it never works out. and i don't expect this winter to be any different. needless to say, i have very low expectations.
  9. Brez will probably sign some has been pitcher on rehab for a couple years and call it a day.
  10. $8M, whooptiefrickindo. how many times have i heard that's pocket change. Abreu was a GG last year. Duran was an AllStar last year. you forgot that. Duran is in decline? that's your opinion. Abreu can't even stay on the field. yeah, that's what we need, more freakin' players that can't suit up every day.
  11. they aren't untradeable. wrong. Duran is better.
  12. there is no place for Masas. the FO needs to stop dicking around and dump him, Casas and Abreu, and sign Alonso.
  13. there ya' go again. KEEP Duran, TRADE Abreu. and Casas. and Masa. get rid of the dead weight and keep the productive players.
  14. seems like he's always hurt. trading him for Casas seems fair.
  15. my feelings exactly.
  16. i have season tickets to the Mariners AA farm team in Little Rock -the Arkansas Travelers. and over the years, we've gotten to know many of the players and enjoy watching them move up and do well. until they play the Red Sox, that is. Julio, Cal, Woo, Gilbert, Kirby, and Bryce Miller among others, are all home-grown talent.
  17. i'm hoping for Mariners-Brewers WS, with the Mariners winning it all.
  18. haven't seen you say a word about Buxton's decline. and he's THREE years older than Duran. Buxton played 126 games this year -31 less than Duran. he played in 102 last year. not counting 2020, he's averaged 83 games a year over the last 7 years. yeah....who doesn't want a guy who can't even play half a season every year.
  19. man...you've really got it in for Duran.
  20. the Interest Kings will sit on the sidelines and watch the Dodgers, Yankees, etc improve their teams and then, at the last minute, swoop in and sign some useless rehab pitcher that will never help the team.
  21. i just don't get some people's obsession with Salas. he stuggled mightily in A ball and even more so in AA before going down with injuries. this guy is as overhyped as Grissom. pass.
