  1. If KC was the FT 2B he could play 150 games, and wouldn’t need to play any other positions. Either he’s a 2B, or an OF. 2B is the biggest need right now not seeing how many positions KC can play IMO.
  2. 11 different players played 2B last year, so that was more than EValdez, and Reyes.
  3. 2B is the biggest need RIGHT NOW , and not LF is it not?
  4. Playing LF does not help him 1 iota as a 2B. If didn’t help Raf Man going back, and forth between SS, and CF last year, and he said as much that it took him a few games to adjust after moving back. If Campbell was to make the team, and play FT one position would be the way to go. Either he’d be a 2B, or not, and if he was FT why move him?
  5. Projections mean absolutely nothing. The Red Sox had 11 players play 2B last year. Is that depth? Definitely a revolving door.
  6. If Campbell is in the running to fix 2B why is he playing in LF so much in ST?
  7. To me Story is way down the list of questions. Pitching both the rotation, and the backend of the BP is still the biggest questions to me. The rotation may be deep, but still lots of question mark. Crochet is vastly unproven with ONLY 146 innings under his belt as a starter. Buehler did not have a good season last year, and who knows what Gio has to offer. HR derby balls? No one knows. Who’s the closer? That’s a big question mark to me. You can say the Red Sox have all the depth, but that doesn’t mean the depth is all that good. That will be determined on the field, and Not on paper.
  8. Hopefully he stays in the BP this time.
  9. Right now how many of the projected 6 starters before ST began aren’t going to be ready? Certainly Kut Man.
  10. Exactly! The BP was worn down the last few years as it is. One less arm in the pen, and the pen will wear down even faster.
  11. I don’t see Mayer making the 26 out of ST barring injury, and I don’t see Story moving off SS at this point. As for the best starting rotation since the last championship? There is a lot of things to happen that remains to be seen. Crochet is not very seasoned, and hasn’t thrown many innings to know what he will be. Buehler didn’t have that great of a season last year, and who knows what Gio will bring to the mound. I’m certainly not that impressed with the backend of the BP at this point either especially the closer whomever that will be.
  12. I know the point you were making, but getting excited about 1 game from Mayer would rate the same response for 14 AB from KC. You all rate the same good, or bad. I’m pretty sure you’d be talking KC up if he was 7-14 instead of 1-14. That’s the point. I’m not writing anyone off, because I didn’t count on any of the 3 suspects making the opening day roster anyway. I’m just letting things play out good, and bad. Constructing positions?🙈🤭
  13. Waking a sleeping giant in ST at that.🙈
  14. If players are fighting for a job that will be decided by what they do in ST then the stats mean something. Otherwise just getting through ST healthy is what matters most to me. I’m not counting on any of the suspects making the team out of ST. If one does then great. A big thing too is who are the AB’s against? Front line pitchers? Other suspects? Guys just filling out a ST game?
  15. Campbell is 0-11. If Campbell had a day like Mayer did the other day you’d be ranting, and raving about him, and you wouldn’t be saying it’s way too early. Mayer had a good day, and you said Mayer for Mayor, and when Bregman hit a HR you were talking about waking up a sleeping giant. Hopefully Campbell starts turning things around today, but as of right now he’s done nothing to be even talking about.
  16. GOshida!
  17. Neither shoulder was bad enough to have surgery though.
  18. I haven’t heard he’s having trouble with the shoulder at this point, and it’s nothing more than taking it slow, and being cautious.
  19. For a DHam, and Romy platoon at 2B to happen a lot of things would have to go wrong, or not go right like last year.
  20. Agree, and that’s why Cora said he makes the lineup out according to the pitching matchups for the revolving door players last year.
  21. Campbell first crack, Griss second crack, and Bregman 3rd option. I don’t think there is a fourth.
  22. The Red Sox had 11 players who played 2B for them last year, so you never know, but not being on the 40 makes it unlikely.
  23. Romy played all four of the IF positions last year, and I could see him doing the same this year a one of the BACK UPS. Hamilton could be another, or he could possibly be beat out by Toro.
  24. I already did answer your question. DHam, and Romy aren’t in the running IMO. Grissom, and Campbell are IMO, and Campbell, and Grissom will get most of the reps. I didn’t say Evaldez, and Reyes got injured. Story, and Grissom did, and that opened up the whole revolving door need, and thus the call up of so many. If no one is good enough to play FT at 2B then Bregman would be the best option IMO. 2B is more important than 3B.
