  1. When the Red Sox signed Masa after the 2022 season they were hurting for OF. Now they have more than they need.
  2. He’s still paying Hicks for two more years, so all of Raffy’s contract isn’t being saved. I don’t know what’s out there for a 3B if Bregman leaves, so hopefully some money would get spent there. I wouldn’t put either Mayer, or Story at 3B. I would like to see Mayer at SS, and Story at 2B to start with no matter what, and hope they somewhat can stay healthy.
  3. I don’t know what Brez is thinking, but I just don’t see him making many moves. of course he traded Sale two off-seasons ago, and traded for Crochet last offseason so something big might happen.
  4. Didn’t the $40M/yr guy just go back to where he should be. 273 hitter, which is his career average, which he hadn’t seen since 2019. Last year he got off to a bad start, and this year he got off to a good start batting behind Raffy that everyone went ga ga over.
  5. I can’t see that at all. If Masa is on the team in 2026 he’ll be the DH. I don’t see both Dran, and Abreu being traded, and I don’t see outside of injuries Campbell, and the Password being in the OF at the same time.
  6. I guess Cora isn’t a Team manager then since he never told Raffy to go to 1B, and said he wasn’t going to.🤫
  7. That to me is the way to go. I don’t know what’s out there somewhat comparable to Crochet in age, and stuff, but I’d rather have someone like that than someone from the over 30 gang, even if you have to give up some more prospects.
  8. It would be nice if the Red Sox could replace Duran, or Abreu with a FT RHH OF.
  9. You could be right, but it wouldn’t surprise me if Cora would have kept Raffy at 3B, and played Bregman at 2B, but Brez said no. At any rate it could have been handled differently and better.
  10. It was reported that the Red Sox were trying to unload Casas, and Masa to Seattle, but Seattle wouldn’t bite, and Brez didn’t have a plan B until the Raffy situation blew up.
  11. No he wasn’t traded, and I certainly couldn’t have made a keying error that is now fixed.
  12. Do you think Brez playing 3B was Brez idea? Cora, or both?
  13. And that’s why he was traded, and that’s why we will Never know if Raffy’s bat would have made a difference especially in Yankee Stadium in the postseason.
  14. That was Brez idea, and mostly everyone on here, but Raffy said no, and Cora made it pretty clear he wasn’t going to talk with him about it for more than 1 reason IMO.
  15. I don’t see any major trades unless it’s for a top of rotation starter, and I don’t see any big long term FA signings either for pitching, or otherwise. Tucker would be to expensive for JH liking IMO.
  16. I think Bregman lost some range after getting injured, and Story wore down as the season wound down.
  17. Kind of hard making a bad throw from the DH spot.🤔
  18. At times the D was good, but then it reared its ugly head, and looked like a Little League team in the field. 1B was not good, but they did save Bregman, and Story some throwing errors. Duran morphed back to somewhat being the Butterfly Man again, and him and RAF Man had some communication problems at times.
  19. Devers could have been the difference maker especially against the Yankees.
  20. If the Butterfly Man in LF catches that ball in LF could game 2 been a different outcome? If Eaton scores from 3rd base could game 2 been a different outcome? That’s all I’m sayin. Yes they only Red Sox scored only 6 runs, but they still could have won game 2. You play with what you have. Rice was out in 75, and the Red Sox still could have won without him. Losing Anthony, and Gio hurt, but they still could have won without them. That’s all I saying.
  21. Well said, and agree 100%. I said before the Yankees series that hitting, and the flaws you mentioned were the biggest concern, and despite all that they still could have won.
  22. For all the shortcomings, and being undermanned that the Red Sox were to me bad fundamentals in the field, and on the base paths was what ultimately did them in.
  23. As it turned out we faced 3 good pitchers also.
