  1. Cora hasn’t said any plan yet, so we’ll have to wait on that one.
  2. Understood fully, but like I said hopefully not all these changes have to be needed this year. As is right now you have full time players at just about every position except for possibly RF,and C, which to me should be the plan every year. There shouldn’t be a plan IMO as some have suggested On here to have 2 backups like Romy, and DHam being part of a regular platoon.
  3. Frequent roster changes were, because of injuries, and that’s why all the revolving doors at 2B, SS, and 1B. Hopefully not needed this year.
  4. Just like when Story played 2B. Cora said he wouldn’t fill in anywhere else meaning SS. If Bregman plays 2B then Raffy will be 3B, and 3B only, and Casas will be 1B, and 1B only. Backups will come from the bench guys.
  5. If everyone is healthy, and the current roster stays as is, and Bregman starts the year at 2B I don’t see him moving off 2B. Now any injuries, or changes in the roster, and all bets are off. It would be great for a change to not have any revolving door at 2B, or SS, and have mostly FT players at each position. The suspects time will come at some point.
  6. Cora said they talked about Bregman being a 2B years ago when Cora was in Houston, but Altuve was there, and said he thought Bregman would be an excellent 2B.
  7. Yes on the nice change. He obviously didn’t want to go to Detroit, and Cora most likely had something to do with him coming to Boston. He’s here now, and how long he stays we’ll worry about that after this season.
  8. I don’t really care that much to know more about a hitter, but if I do I’ll dig deeper. Like I’ve already repeated HR, and RBI show up on the scoreboard in real time. I wasn’t a O’Neil fan either. To many K’s, and not as good in the field as advertised when he can stay on the field.
  9. I agree. Cora was most likely had input on Bregman, and if he plays 2B. Cora not only has input on that, but most likely Bregman did, and does too.
  10. Someone said yesterday that TB was more important, but the way I look at it HR, and RBI shows up on the scoreboard as they happen. HR adds to that TB count.
  11. Did I hear RBI talk?👍
  12. I know all about Pumpsie Green, but all the NOshida/GOshida talk has NOTHING to do with the Pumpsie Greene situation IMO, and I haven’t heard of anyone else thinking it does.
  13. Of course there are facts, but why does it put you in a dither so much that not everyone cares what all the facts are? No one is disputing any of your facts at all, but what you seem to be disputing , or for the life of you fathom is that not everyone cares what all those facts are like you do. Don’t worry you don’t embarrass anyone , or shame anyone for that matter. 🤭🙈. Is, or isn’t. Cares, or don’t cares. I’m sure this will be a LMAO at the bowling alley tonight.
  14. If Bregman plays 2B it tells me one, or two things. They have no confidence in anyone else to play 2B full time, or Cora is to loyal to his players to move Raffy. Either, or, or both.
  15. I’m not blaming Cora at all, but like I keep saying the Red Sox are just playing the hand they have dealt themselves, and up until now they have kept playing that same hand. Now they have a different hand to play, but how they play it may, or may not be the same way.
  16. How does what’s being talked about mostly that I have heard on the street, which is the $40M figure got to do with me understanding something? IT Doesn’t! What is it that I have strong convictions about? I know you don’t think I do, but if I saw the breakdown of Bregman’s contract I WOULD understand it, but once again what does that have to do with what’s Being talked about on the street, which you can’t seem to comprehend that from what I’ve mostly heard most fans don’t care how the contract is broken down, or don’t even remotely care what his LT hit is. Why is that so hard to understand, and comprehend that not ALL fans have the same amount of caring about the same things as you do? That doesn’t make them any less a fan than you. Everyone is above ground, and NO ONE has stuck their head in the sand.
  17. I agree 100%, but the point I’m trying to make to make, and have been trying to make the past few years that despite Cora talking at length about how the D has to improve especially the IF not much has really been done to fix the problem thus Raffy is still at 3B, and Casas at 1B. Silly season is right, but still up to this point it stays status quo, which would be even worse now since Bregman is in town.
  18. I thought the idea was to be strong up the middle. When is the last time the Red Sox have been strong up the middle? It’s been a revolving door at 2B pretty much since Petey left, and SS since Bogey left.
  19. This “ old school type “ isn’t against it at all. I think it’s an overpayment, but I like the signing. Like I heard one fan say yesterday it’s not like the Red Sox signed Mike Schmidt in his prime, or Manny Ramirez, so my enthusiasm is just tempered down some than most.
  20. There all different levels of fans so when I say the $40M figure is what’s talked about most out on the street it’s, because that’s the first figure reported, and the only figure that some care about. Not everyone is in to all the CBT talk, or even care how everything is broken down. Like I said different levels of fans have different levels of interest in each, and every point. or lack of. That’s what not everyone understands, or wants to. Different levels have different needs whether it’s CBT, stats, or anything else. What’s good for one might not be for another, and vice versa, and no one is going to change.
  21. When the Red Sox outbid everyone, and shut the bidding down in record time for Masa the Red Sox were in need of outfielders. Now they are not. Masa is not a good OF, and doesn’t hit enough to just be a FT DH unlike Ortiz, or JD, and I don’t think there is ANYTHING more to it than the Red Sox would like to get out of that contract, and move other people through the DH role, and NOTHING else IMO. Boston history?🙈
  22. Adult conversation?🤭. I hardly ever talk about CBT, because i don’t care about it. You guys are the ones constantly talking about it like you know what’s in the heads of JH on down, and what they will do, and where they are at in regards to the CBT. I read it, but I really don’t care. I still don’t get what going off on a tangent is, or payroll talk either when all I’ve mentioned is that the talk on the street is pretty much all about the $40M figure, and not what it means regarding the CBT.Saying nobody cares means only the small fraction here, and not out on all the different tv, and radio venues, and of course the local BK.
  23. The Red Sox reportedly did try to unload Masa to Seattle when discussing the Casas/Castillo trade, but Seattle said no.
  24. Good stats, and now we’ll just have to wait, and see how many HR, and RBI Bregman puts up this year, which most likely will be more RBI than O’Neil did last year.
