  1. Best case scenario is the Red Sox just take care of business, and win, and then you don’t have to worry what anyone else does.
  2. Extending Chapman was a good move, but I don’t think he can be expected to repeat what he did this year.
  3. Roman, and Mayer were a lot more ready to go than Campbell, and Mayer should have started the season at 2B IMO. As for Anthony there really wasn’t any room for him as the roster, and OF was constructed to start the season.
  4. I’ve been saying keep Whitlock in the BP ever since the end of the 2021 season, and Houck too.
  5. I would say this sums up things pretty well. Lowe just fell into the Red Sox lap, so it wasn’t like Brez was beating down the bushes out looking for him. It was Brez who couldn’t work it out with Raffy, and I don’t believe no one else, and I agree the Red Sox would have been better off this year by keeping him.
  6. That usual 3rd option in the fork in the road at the trade deadline again that leads to nowhere .For a team that always needs starting pitching, and has for years trading away Priester has been a big miss too. The bad injury juju that hovers over Fenway has reared its ugly head once again.
  7. If Bregman wants to opt out after this year then say thanks for this year, and let him go. The three years was long enough, and the $40M per was to much anyway.
  8. If not there should be. The D has just been plain awful, and SOFT. Aggressive man to man last year to a soft zone this year, which is a far cry from anything resembling a good D. Word is that Freeman is getting more involved with the D this week.
  9. Alex Bregman is a career 272 hitter, which is what he’s hitting now, and hasn’t hit above that since 2019. Bregman has been a good addition to the Red Sox, but as I said when the Red Sox signed him he’s no Mike Schmidt, and he’s not worth $40M. Bregman got off to a great start this year with the bat unlike last year when he got off to a terrible start, and now he’s leveled off, and hitting pretty much where he should be. Bregman is not a 300 hitter, and except for a few years not even a 280 hitter.
  10. The 1B whomever it was save both more than a few throwing errors this year also.
  11. I’ll say it again. ND was overrated, and over ranked to start the season, and NOT a top ten team. Giving up 41 pts at home is just Wow!
  12. Like I said a few weeks ago ND was ranked to high with an Inexperienced QB. While ND made a good comeback this is not a top ten football team. It was said before the game how deep ND was, and that may be true, but they don’t have the talent of a year ago especially on D. Last night there was plenty of Bad play calling on both sides of the ball. As one writer after the game said they didn’t know there was a new rule put in for this year that you couldn’t throw the ball more than three yards down the field. Carr is no Leonard either, and won’t last very long trying to be a runner. New D coordinator who just kept rushing 4 after Freeman said at halftime they had to put more pressure on Beck. Love might as well sat out the first half too. Carr will have more growing pains this year like IG penalties, but he’ll get better, but still this won’t be a top ten team this year. I think Angeli should have been given a shot even before this year, but it didn’t happen.
  13. ND is ranked pretty high with having an inexperienced QB. Starting the season at Miami will be an tough opener even if they had an experienced QB, so I don’t see this as being an easy season.
  14. I agree. I started out with Curt Gowdy, Ned Martin, and Ken Coleman watching the Red Sox so everyone since has below their standards to me. Hawk Harrelson didn’t have a great voice either.
  15. Great job by the gals last night. I’ve heard Emma many times, so she wasn’t new to me. It was a Good break away from OB, and the Yuckers.👍👍👍.
  16. I could care less about 2026 until 2025 is over just like in 2024 about 2025, and 2023 about 2024, and 2022 about 2023.
  17. 4 years in a row now you’ve been more concerned about tomorrow than today, and tomorrow has never been guaranteed.
  18. Mayer, Anthony, and Campbell are still highly suspect SUSPECTS. I should have said the starting lineup on a nightly bases is more journeyman , and the suspects, and Duran being closer to the Butterfly Man.
  19. Agree. The 3 year deal he has now is long enough, which would be his 31,32, and 33 years. Bregman got off to a great start unlike last year, and many were all in on that. It would have been interesting to see how he would have ended up if he had stayed healthy. Of course he won’t have Raffy in front of him now.
  20. Next year’s talent? The team is mostly journeyman, and highly suspect SUSPECTS, or players like Duran who have dwarfed back closer to being the Butterfly Man than the player from last year. This is year 4 now that the Red Sox from JH on down have peed on you, and all the fans, and told you it was raining, and you still haven’t put on a raincoat, and you still want to wait longer to buy one.🤭
  21. I agree. Bregman got off to a good start, but even with him, and Raffy driving in a bunch of runs after Raffy got straightened out early in the season the Red Sox were still nothing more than a 500 team. Bregman will be 32 next season, and he’s still got 2 more years on his contract if he wants it. If not let him go. The team is not going nowhere until they get better pitching.
  22. Still wha, wha, wha!😂😂😂. So now Cora is chicken. There is statements out there on why Cora didn’t approach Devers about playing 1B, but where is your proof that Cora was chicken?🤔 Your head is always spinning just like the Red Sox. It just just cracks me up that so many think Devers at 1B was a good baseball move.🤭
  23. True, and I’m fully aware that Cora could be doing nothing more than playing good cop out front, but behind the scenes could be saying, and doing things completely different.
