  1. And yet he doesn’t have a position, or a spot to get AB.🤭
  2. I think the perception is that the Red Sox have 4 full time outfielders at present time, and that hasn’t been proven yet especially with Abreu, and if he’s not another LHB like Masa doesn’t help that situation where another RHB would, and that is why Masa can be in the way.
  3. Versatility is fine, and that’s what you have guys like Romy, Sogard, and the IKF types for. KC in my opinion just isn’t one of those guys IMO. KC is still nothing, but a suspect at this time, and a work in progress.
  4. Can, not will, or even should doesn’t really change anything just like suggestions, opinions, or predictions differentiating doesn’t change anything.
  5. You’re right. I forgot when the Kut Man, and Houck got hurt.
  6. I don’t think at the time there was a good reason not to sign Betts in most people’s eyes. You know I’m like you when it comes to huge, and long contracts, but I think most Red Sox fans wanted hm signed. He was a great player in the prime of his career. One poster on here would have given him 14 years. The Red Sox were trying to sign Mookie before he became a FA, and there was nothing wrong with that. It didn’t work out. It doesn’t look as bad now as he’s nearing 34.
  7. I agree on depth, but versatility doesn’t necessarily mean it’s all good like all the 2B/1B the Red Sox went through the past two years.
  8. That’s why the Red sOX used 11 different 2B in 2024, because of versatility, and all the players who passed through playing 1B led by the great Franchy Strange Glove, because of versatility.
  9. Has 8 SP been enough for the Red Sox the past 3 years??🤭
  10. The Red Sox went out, and got Durbin, because he was a cheap option compared to Bregman, Marte, and all the other options that was mentioned on here to play 2B/3B.
  11. Still don’t see it for KC. Not this year anyway. Woo is the best place for him to improve not only with the bat, but with the glove if possible. Many things would have to go wrong with injuries ect, which could happen, but outside of that he’s still a suspect in progress.
  12. Yes it seems the more they moved him the uglier it got.
  13. I don’t see KC back in the IF. That’s what IFK, and Romy is for under your circumstances.
  14. Things usually have a way of working themselves out, but yes outside of injury this looks like a different case.
  15. I would tend to agree on that as it stands now. Even a healthy Casas isn’t a good fit if an OF is going to rotate through the DH spot.
  16. They stuck him at 2B to start last season, but still had him playing some OF, which I don’t think helped him at all especially with him being so young, and inexperienced.
  17. I don’t think Masa will get a roster spot just, because if he can’t get sent down.
  18. He had a chance last year at 2B, but he not a 2B. He’s not the RAF Man who can move from OF to IF like he did playing a lot of SS one year. Some guys can handle moving around, but I don’t think KC is one of them, so I disagree 100% that KC will eventually get a roster spot, because he can move around. Either he hits or he doesn’t.
  19. Especially not now. I keep hearing how the Red Sox have four outfielders, but Abreu hasn’t proven he can be full time yet, and a RHB may be needed, which Masa is not.
  20. The Red Sox didn’t help matters either by trying to make Campbell into a super utility guy who co could play all over the field, because that’s how things are done.
  21. Huh? Masa was signed at the time, because the Red Sox were in need of outfielders, and Bloom for some reason thought Masa would be a good fit. He wasn’t, and isn’t a good fit now. I don’t know how this all ends up, but if he’s on the opening 26 with the Red Sox it more about that $18M contract than anything else.
  22. Campbell is still a Suspect with a contract extension who needs more time in AAA.
  23. Agree 100%. Having a backup DH only taking up a bench spot isn’t what’s best for the team.
