    Good pitching. Finally some timely hitting, and a good opening day win. Also good to see MM come in, and get a couple of hits today.

    Cora had already come out, and said Mayer would be platooning with IKF. Old news now.

    Batting orders used to mean something, but since the geeks, and nerds have taken over they don’t mean much anymore IMO.

    First he’s got to produce, and find his way back up to Boston. Then even if he produces at Woo it’s trades, or injury to get him there.

    Well said. According to a Woo broadcaster I heard in an interview the other day that KC was pretty messed up when he was sent back to WOO, and it took him quite a while before he started hitting. He also looked pretty bad at 1B. As the broadcaster said KC was rushed, and it not only backfired, but set KC back a year that he still hasn’t recovered from. Now it looks like he’s strictly OF, so he has even less options for a job.

    Not everyone moons over Suspects. Some wait to they actually produce in a big league uniform.

    Casas is still SUSPECT. Mayer is still a SUSPECT, and KC has to improve again to be a SUSPECT. All 3 can go either way.🤔

    That might not be a bad thing if there is no need, or no FT position for him. He was given a job once, so now he has to earn another shot, or wait till someone gets hurt, or traded, and even then he has to produce.

    Good take on KC. It just seems that the philosophy of the Red Sox now is to try, and lockup all the young guys like they did with Casas a few years ago. Some will work out, and some won’t.

    According to Cotillo both Oviedo, and Early will both be on the opening day roster due to Ranger, and Bello being a little behind, because of their WBC participation. Tolle already sent down to Woo. Right now the Sunday game In Cincinnati is listed as undecided with Ranger, and Bello going the first two games in Houston.

    I’m not the one who said KC is owed almost twice as much as Masa like that had something to do with the Masa situation in the first place. It didn’t then, and it don’t now.👋

    Hopefully Story Land stays open again this year, and doesn’t need repairs. He’s had a good ST, and healthy so far.

    He seems like a good kid, so hopefully he gets straightened out in Woo, and eventually gets back up to Boston.

    For KC to make his way back up to Boston most likely someone would have to get hurt, and even then he might not be the first option. He’s got to prove himself in Woo first.

    You look worse trying to explain it than you did posting the first time. Money most likely has something to do why Masa is on the club, and has nothing to do with why KC isn’t. Every case is different, and there is about a $16M difference for this year. If Masa only had one year left on his contract it may be a different story altogether. KC making a little over $2M this year is not even a consideration especially for a suspect, which KC is, and Masa isn’t to make the team. Two ENTIRELY different situations with 2 ENTIRELY different outcomes that shouldn’t even be compared IMO.🙈

    It’s not funny at all. Is KC owed $18M this year? Next year? Matter of fact unless the Red Sox pick up an option way down the line KC won’t make $18M in any year. What a bad, bad, bad comparison.🤭

    If Masa was a RHB I could understand it better.

    Masa is on the team for two reasons IMO. They couldn’t unload him, and his contract. I don’t believe it’s to give guys rest.
